About this collection
I focus on the elements that make your wedding yours. Whether it is hiding your groom's name in a floral trail, sketching a specific landmark from the place you met, or including traditional figures like peacocks, elephants, or doli motifs, every line has a purpose. We start by discussing these details so the final design feels like your life story on your skin.
When you choose a storytelling design, you are moving beyond standard patterns. This is about capturing moments, relationships, and traditions in henna.
The Process
I dedicate significant time to this style. Creating figures like a bride and groom portrait or detailed architectural domes requires patience and steady hands. These designs are intensive and usually take 5 to 6 hours to complete. Because I am creating custom sketches rather than following a standard book of designs, I recommend we chat about your requirements a few weeks in advance. This allows me to prepare the composition so it flows perfectly from your fingertips to your elbows or mid-calf.
Why Details Matter
- Personalization: From 'Bhabhi Ki Nanand' or 'Dulhe Ki Mom' text to specific wedding hashtags, I integrate these requests seamlessly into the henna.
- Traditional Elements: I use Marwari-inspired techniques that involve zero negative space, ensuring a rich, dense look that covers the skin completely.
- Quality: I use my own freshly mixed organic henna. It is essential for storytelling designs because the deep stain makes the intricate lines of portraits and architectural motifs pop, showing the detail clearly.
Where I Work
While I am based in my studio in Vasai West, I travel across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area for weddings. Whether you want a full-arm bridal masterpiece that tells your entire love story or specific family designs for your guests, I ensure the quality of the henna and the precision of the lines remain consistent throughout the event.
