Music is a conversation. I help you master the skills to listen, respond, and blend your instrument with flute, guitar, tabla, or drums.

A casual jam session at home with friends on flute and tabla. Learning to listen and respond to other musicians is a crucial skill for any aspiring artist.

A random jam session in the studio, combining the electric zitar with rock guitar and drums. This shows the exciting possibilities that open up when you step into fusion music.

A backstage jam with a fellow musician on tabla. The dynamic between a melodic instrument like the sitar and a rhythmic one like the tabla is at the heart of Indian classical performance.

About this collection

Collaboration is not just about playing the right notes, it is about learning to listen and leave space for the other instrument. When you are jamming, whether it is with a flute or a rock drummer, your job is to catch the rhythm and match the energy. I teach you how to pick up those non-verbal cues so you can sit in any circle and start playing without needing a written script.

Music is a language. When you perform alone, you control the tempo, but in a collaboration, you must negotiate it. I focus on helping students break out of solo practice habits to embrace the conversation that happens between instruments. We will work on how the sitar interacts with percussion like the tabla, how it sustains melody against a flute, and how to plug your electric zitar into a band setup with guitarists and drummers. This is not about rigid theory, it is about active listening and reaction. We cover dynamics, stage presence, and the unspoken communication that makes a jam session work. Whether you are preparing to perform on a small stage or just want to hold your own at a weekend jam with friends, we will break down the techniques to help you blend in while still standing out.
