We are Aakash and Vidisha. We started happyGrub because we were tired of the myth that healthy food has to be boring, bland, or tasteless. Here is why we do what we do.
Being a founder means wearing many hats, from chef and recipe tester to packaging consultant. We love every part of it because it means we can deliver hassle-free, healthy meals to you every day.
This is how it all started. As a nutritionist and an engineer, we wanted to create a solution for people who want healthy, homestyle food without the stress of cooking. And so, HappyGrub was born.

About this collection
When we started happyGrub, we didn't just want to build another kitchen. I am an engineer, and Vidisha is a nutritionist, so we approached food like a system, figuring out how to balance macros without losing that essential 'ghar ka tadka'. We spend thousands of minutes testing recipes just to make sure your Monday lunch doesn't feel like a punishment.
The problem with most 'healthy' food is that it feels like a diet plan you are forced to follow. We realized that people in Mumbai don't want diet food, they want food. They want the comfort of a proper Gujarati dal or a fresh sabzi, but without the excess oil, hidden sugars, or preservatives that come with regular delivery or canteen meals.
We built happyGrub to bridge that gap. Vidisha curates every menu to ensure you are getting real nutrients, not just empty calorie counting. My job as an engineer is to make sure the process is solid, from our FSSAI certified kitchen protocols to ensuring our delivery network actually gets a hot meal to your desk between 12:00 PM and 1:30 PM.
We know the struggle of trying to eat right at work. You walk in with good intentions, but then the office snacks appear and your plans fall apart. Our subscription model is designed to remove that friction. Whether you are managing diabetes, following a strict Jain diet, or just trying to survive a busy work week without relying on junk, we have a plan that fits. We do not use preservatives, we do not take shortcuts, and we definitely do not serve boring food. We serve meals that make you feel good, not hungry.
