Our Therapy Team and Handcrafted Learning Materials
Great therapy doesn't happen by chance. We invest heavily in our team's continuous training and create custom learning tools to ensure your child receives therapy that is as unique as they are.
We invest in our team's growth. This is a staff training session on pre writing skills, ensuring all our educators are equipped with the best techniques to help our students succeed.
Our training extends across all our centers. This online training session allows our therapists from different locations to learn and collaborate on new therapy activities.
We leverage technology for professional development. This screenshot shows an online training session with over 30 participants from our various centers, all learning together.
A closer look at our online training session in progress. We regularly connect with our teams across different locations to ensure consistent, high quality service.
This presentation on the 'Early Identification of Disabilities' is part of our ongoing training for staff. Early and accurate identification is key to providing effective support.
This montage shows our team in action, from training sessions on tracing techniques to hands on activities. It reflects our commitment to both learning and applying our skills.
Our team puts in the effort to create handmade Teaching Learning Materials (TLM). These custom tools are designed to be more effective and engaging for our students.
A look inside our TLM creation process. We are preparing calendar materials, including days, months, and years, to help children learn these important concepts in a hands on way.
Here, our therapist is creating a wall display for the days of the week and months of the year. Visual aids like this are crucial for reinforcing learning in the classroom.
We create our own TLM for teaching practical skills like money concepts. This involves printing and cutting realistic play money for use in our mock shopping activities.
About Our Team, Training & Learning Materials
It isn't enough to just follow a textbook. We design and craft our own Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) because every child processes information differently. Whether we are printing realistic play money for shopping simulations or creating custom visual calendars for daily routines, these tools bridge the gap between abstract concepts and real-world understanding.
At Gurukul Centre, we believe our greatest resource is our team. To keep our therapy consistent across our centers in Gurgaon, Gwalior, Shimla, and beyond, we conduct regular internal training sessions. Our therapists share techniques, discuss challenges, and learn from each other to ensure every child receives high-quality, evidence-based care.
We also prioritize the creation of custom materials. Generic flashcards or worksheets often miss the mark for children with specific sensory or learning needs. By making our own tools, we can:
- Simplify concepts: We break down complex ideas into manageable, tactile tasks.
- Increase engagement: We use familiar themes to make learning feel like play, not a chore.
- Adaptability: If a child needs a specific type of visual aid, we build it rather than searching for it.
Our approach is grounded in the philosophy that learning should be fun. When a child learns to handle money at our mock store or follows a schedule with our handmade calendar, they are not just completing a task, they are gaining independence. This dedication to craft and collaboration is what keeps our 'Happy Faces' count high.
