Stop wasting time on vanity isolation machines. I teach you how to lift heavy, build explosive power, and maintain control on the mats—not just how to look good.

My mantra is "Eat, Sleep, Roll, Repeat," but I always add heavy lifting to the mix. Strength and power are critical for any fighter.

I'm a BJJ player who lifts weights to get stronger. Strength is what makes your technique even more dangerous on the mat.

About Strength for Grappling

Most guys in the gym chase the pump, but that feeling fades the second you leave. On my mats, we prioritize heavy compound lifts like deadlifts, squats, and overhead presses, not isolation machines. If you want to be a fighter, your strength has to be functional, meaning you can still control your opponent even when you are exhausted in the final round. If you cannot move your opponent, your technique will fail.

Why Bodybuilding Won't Help You Fight

There is a massive difference between looking strong and being strong. When I started, I thought I knew what training was. Then a BJJ coach rag-dolled me on the ground, and I realized my 'pump' meant nothing. In a fight, or during a hard sparring session at the club in Sainik Farm, vanity muscles get tired fast. I don't train bodybuilders; I train people to be harder to kill.

The Functional Foundation

My strength protocols are simple. We stick to the basics:

  • Compound Movements: Deadlifts, squats, and pull-ups are the bread and butter. These build the posterior chain, which you need for takedowns, escapes, and cage work.
  • Explosive Power: We train for capacity. You need to be able to explode out of a bad position in the third round when your lungs are burning.
  • No Shortcuts: If you are coming to me looking for a beach body, you are in the wrong place. If you want a grip that makes your opponent regret engaging you, we will get to work.

Where We Train

Whether you are joining our group sessions at Crosstrain Fight Club or booking a private home session across South Delhi, the standard remains the same. You need space, you need to bring a 'no-ego' attitude, and you need to be ready to work harder than you have before. I bring the mats and the expertise; you bring the sweat.

Leave your ego at the door. If you want to level up your grappling, you have to be willing to tap out, learn, and lift heavy.

I am Gaurav, an MMA fighter and BJJ practitioner. I don't train people to look pretty in a mirror. I train you to be a dangerous, technically sound grappler who won't gas out when things get rough.
