My Philosophy: Real Talk on Martial Arts Training
Martial arts is about more than just technique. It is about the mindset you bring to the mat. Here is my direct take on training for real results, not just for show.
People always compare MMA to street fights. They are not the same. One is a sport with rules, the other is a fight for your life with no rules.
I used to be a striker, but a BJJ coach humbled me on the ground. That's when I realized the ultimate control is in grappling, and I've been hooked ever since.
How do you become an MMA fighter? Simple. Join a good academy and start competing in amateur events. That's how you find out your real level.
People ask what motivates me. The benefits of martial arts are the motivation. Better health, confidence, and self-defense skills are all you need.
About My Philosophy: Real Talk on Fighting
I don't teach martial arts to make you look good on Instagram. When you step on my mat, the goal is survival and control. Most people walk into the gym with an ego that holds them back, thinking they know how to fight before they have even learned to defend. My training is about removing that ego, finding your weaknesses, and building a foundation that works in a real fight, not just a controlled sport setting. If you are ready to put in the work, you are ready for my class.
People love to debate what is better—striking or grappling. When I started, I thought striking was everything. Then, a BJJ coach put me on the ground and showed me that if you cannot control where the fight happens, you are already losing. That experience changed my entire approach to training.
The Reality of Street vs. Sport
Don't compare a cage fight to a street encounter. In the cage, there are rules, referees, and a safety net. In the street, you are fighting for your life against unknowns. You might be facing multiple opponents, or someone armed. My job is to drill the basics—armbars, chokes, and positional control—until they become automatic. These are the skills that keep you safe when things go wrong.
Why Ego Kills Progress
If you come to my class in Sainik Farm with an ego, you will lose it within the first ten minutes. That is the point. You will get caught. You will have to tap out. My students include everyone from total beginners to pro fighters like Anshul Jubli, and they all have one thing in common: they leave their ego at the door. If you aren't tapping, you aren't learning.
How I Train
I don't believe in fancy diets or gimmicks. I teach what has been proven on the mats. Whether you join my group sessions for BJJ and No-Gi grappling or book a private session at your home, we focus on high-percentage techniques. We drill to build 'fight-ready' strength, not just to get a temporary pump. You want to be hard to handle on the mat? Start by focusing on the fundamentals.
