A Peek Into My Handmade Art Process

Every piece starts as a simple slab of wood or clay. Here is a glimpse into how I turn those raw materials into stories rooted in Indian tradition, one brush stroke at a time.

A montage of my life as an artist. From fun times at events and the challenges of creative blocks, to the joy of seeing my work displayed and connecting with clients who have supported me for 11 years.

It's a golden week in my studio! This video shows my current crush, gold foil art, and how I use it to add a touch of shimmer and luxury to a mandala design.

About this collection

When you see a finished wall plate or Nandi sculpture, it is easy to forget the messy studio table behind it. I often spend weeks layering paint, carefully applying gold foil, and waiting for varnish to set while working on a piece like a Mysore traditional painting. That slow, deliberate pace is exactly why these items feel different the moment you hold them in your hands.

The Slow Art of Handmade Decor

I believe that creating something from scratch is about more than just the end result. It is about the rhythm of the brush, the texture of the wood, and the stories that emerge from the paint. Whether I am carving a solid Neem wood Nandi or detailing a miniature coaster, my goal is to ensure every piece carries the soul of Indian folk art.

From My Studio to Your Home

My workspace is often filled with half-finished sketches and drying paints. This is where the magic happens, whether I am experimenting with resin finishes for a modern pop or sticking to traditional matte varnishes for a classic look. You might notice imperfections in my work, but those are exactly what make each piece unique and truly yours.

Why I Love Art Events

Connecting with you face-to-face at events like Kalaangana or Bazaar-e-Kohinoor is the highlight of my year. It is one thing to ship a piece across India, but it is another to see your reaction when you first touch a hand-painted plate or find the perfect Nandi face for your gallery wall. These interactions fuel my creativity and push me to keep exploring new art forms, from the masks of Theyyam to the divine expressions of Maa Durga.

Getting a Custom Piece

If you have a vision, I love collaborating to bring it to life. Because I work in small batches and often use time-intensive techniques like miniature painting, custom orders usually take about 10 to 15 days to complete. This ensures that when you receive your art, it has been crafted with the time and love it deserves.

I believe art should be a conversation between the maker and the collector. Whether I am painting a Nandi sculpture or detailing a miniature pendant, I pour the same love into it that I hope you feel when you display it at home.
