Our Professional Art Framing Process & Expert Consultation
We treat every frame as a story. From digital previews to conservation-grade techniques, we ensure your art and memories are preserved for the long run.
Welcome to our Goregaon West showroom. We designed this 22-foot gallery wall to showcase the vast possibilities in custom framing, from float framing and collages to different matting and glass options. It's a world of inspiration.
We believe in 100% transparency. Our custom-built software instantly calculates the price based on your selected size and frame, eliminating manual errors and hidden costs. The process is fast, simple, and hassle-free.
Watch our framing specialist walk through the consultation process. From selecting the right mat board and fillet to choosing between clear and museum glass, we guide our clients to create a masterpiece from a simple artwork.
We support our professional partners through our Interiors and Architect Program. We provide curated sample boxes with frame mouldings, glass types, mat swatches, and print options to make it easy to select the perfect finishes for any project.
Why is custom framing an investment? It comes down to materials, customization, and craftsmanship. We use solid wood, archival materials, and skilled artisans to build high-end frames that are made to last a lifetime.
Did you know that many frames are made of plastic? We are committed to quality and sustainability, which is why we only use 100% solid wood and metal for our frames. They are built to last, unlike plastic alternatives that can easily break.
When framing prints, three things are key: use an acid-free mat to protect the print, choose UV-protective glass for longevity, and pick a frame that complements, not competes with, the artwork. We guide you through every step.
We love adding personal touches to your memories. With our custom mat captions, you can add a name, date, or a meaningful quote directly onto the mat board, transforming your frame into a deeply personal keepsake.
We frame many certificates, from convocation degrees to corporate awards. For valuable originals, we recommend scanning and printing a copy for display, while the original is safely preserved. We also create memorabilia displays with medals and photos.
Lamination is a lightweight and affordable alternative to glass, available in matte and gloss finishes. While it's great for shipping and for replaceable prints, we don't recommend it for valuable or original artworks.
About Our Process, Expertise & Services
We believe in complete transparency before a frame is built. Our custom-designed software provides a digital preview, showing exactly how your artwork will look with various mat boards and frame profiles. This process eliminates guesswork, letting you compare the visual impact of clear glass versus museum-grade UV-protective glass while seeing an instant, accurate price calculation before you commit.
At Framebazaar, our approach combines technical preservation with aesthetic design. We begin every project by understanding what the piece means to you. Whether it is a delicate watercolour painting or a heavy cricket jersey, the preservation method changes entirely.
Our Technical Standards
Our Mumbai workshops are equipped with professional tools to handle diverse projects. For fine art, we avoid cheap tapes or plastic, relying on Japanese T-hinging to ensure the work is reversible and safe. Humidity in Mumbai is a significant factor, which is why we seal frames with professional-grade D-rings and stranded steel wire, preventing dust ingress and ensuring your piece remains pristine.
Why Consultation Matters
Many clients come to us with a vague idea of 'a nice frame.' Through our Art and Framing Consultation, we guide you through the variables that impact both look and longevity:
- Matting: We use acid-free and lignin-free conservation mat boards to prevent yellowing and foxing, ensuring the print never touches the glass.
- Glazing: We educate you on the difference between standard glass, acrylic, and Tru Vue Museum Glass, which offers 99% UV protection and an invisible finish.
- Structure: We exclusively use solid wood and metal. You will not find plastic or polystyrene in our factory, as these materials can warp and break in our local climate.
Partnering with Designers
We work closely with interior designers and architects, offering curated sample boxes that include frame mouldings, glass varieties, and mat swatches. This allows you to test finishes in your own space before finalizing. Whether you are creating a complex gallery wall or framing a single heirloom, our process is designed to deliver a high-end product that stands the test of time.
