We don’t just frame your art; we preserve it for the future. From humidity-resistant mounting to UV-blocking glass, see how our conservation-grade techniques keep your most valuable pieces safe.

For high-value artworks, such as this piece by M.F. Husain, every detail matters. We use 8-ply museum-grade mats to create space from the glass and a sleek metal frame, ensuring the focus remains entirely on the art while providing maximum protection.

A client entrusted us with this cherished charcoal portrait of Neem Karoli Baba. We used acid-free hinging, a black suede mount, and museum glass to preserve the delicate medium and ensure a clear, reflection-free view of the meaningful artwork.

A fillet is a small, decorative moulding that serves two key purposes. It enhances the artwork's presentation and acts as a barrier, creating a space between the art and the glass to prevent damage and aid preservation.

The mat board is more than just a border. We use acid-free and lignin-free conservation mats, including paper, suede, and fabric options, to protect your artwork from yellowing and create the visual breathing space it deserves.

When should you choose museum glass? We recommend it for valuable artworks, pieces with dark backgrounds, or any item where you want the true colors to shine without reflection. It's an investment in enjoying your art to the fullest.

How you store your frames is just as important as how you display them. To prevent scratches and damage, we always recommend stacking frames face-to-face or back-to-back, with a soft foam sheet in between for extra cushioning.

Mumbai's monsoon humidity can be tough on artworks. To prevent fungus and moisture damage, we suggest placing silica gels near your frames or periodically checking the wall and cleaning the back of the artwork.

Non-reflective glass, also known as etched glass, is a great option for cutting glare on a budget. We recommend it for posters or replaceable prints, but advise against its use for original art as it can slightly dull the image.

About The Art of Preservation: Museum-Quality Techniques

Most framing shops focus only on the exterior aesthetic, but the most critical work happens inside the frame. We avoid standard pressure-sensitive tapes that chemically damage artwork over time, opting instead for reversible Japanese T-hinging. This ensures your piece stays secure and completely pristine, allowing it to be removed in its original condition decades later without leaving a trace.
