About Playful Prints: Kalamkari & Florals
These prints are lighter than traditional heavy silks, making them perfect for all-day events or outdoor festivals. Every piece includes soft cotton lining to prevent itching, and I always add two inches of hidden growth margin so your child can wear their favorite outfit for longer.
Kalamkari and floral prints offer a fresh, artistic alternative to heavier silk weaves. While I love the grandeur of Kanchi Pattu, these printed fabrics allow for more movement and play, which is exactly what kids need during long events.
My process for these outfits focuses on combining style with child-friendly details. You will notice that many of the blouses here feature peplum cuts or puff sleeves, which give a modern silhouette while remaining practical. For infants and toddlers, I often use Zari Kota or light Banarasi blends that are gentle on the skin.
Customization & Care Since most of these are made to order, we can tweak almost anything. Want a different blouse style? Prefer a specific color combination? Just let me know. To ensure your child stays comfortable, all our skirts come with a soft cotton lining and can-can layering that provides volume without being too heavy. I also build in two inches of margin inside the waist and bodice, allowing the outfit to grow with your child over the coming months.
