Welcome to my world of messy hands, curious minds, and nature-inspired creativity. Explore the projects where we turn simple leaves, flowers, and recycled paper into art while learning about the world around us.

This is what pure joy looks like. A young artist proudly showing off the cotton tote bag she decorated in our block printing workshop. We use safe, non-toxic inks so little hands can create freely, learning about animals and sustainability through play.

A little glimpse into the fun and discovery from our "Our Planet" summer camp. We spent the week exploring nature through hands-on science and art, from making recycled paper to creating with flower petals. Hearing the kids share their joy makes it all worthwhile.

This is the magic of upcycling. I took an old, faded linen shirt and gave it a new life with natural indigo dye. It's a beautiful way to reduce textile waste and create a unique piece of wearable art, a practice I love sharing in my workshops.

There is something so satisfying about flower pounding. Here, you can see little hands busy at work, hammering colourful flower petals onto paper to release their natural pigments. It’s a wonderfully sensory activity that connects children directly to the colours of nature.

Learning isn't confined to textbooks. This was a session at Inventure Academy where we held thoughtful discussions about real-world challenges like textile waste and slow fashion. It's amazing to see young minds brainstorm creative and practical solutions for a greener future.

I love showing how we can turn waste into something beautiful. This video shows the process of turning shredded office documents into handmade paper. It's a hands-on science lesson in recycling that results in unique, textured paper sheets.

A birthday party filled with creativity and sunshine. These girls celebrated by learning the art of tie-dye, using a natural dye bath made from marigold petals. Each one left with a bright, beautiful tote bag they designed themselves.

People often ask me what "nature-based learning" really is. In this video, I explain my approach: it’s about learning by doing, by interacting directly with soil, plants, and the world outside. It’s how we turn a simple walk in the garden into a real-life science lesson.

About Featured

At my workshops, don't worry about keeping your clothes clean. Whether we are pounding fresh marigold petals onto fabric or turning shredded office paper into handmade sheets, the goal is to get messy and learn by doing. Every session is designed so that even if a project does not turn out perfect, the experience of creating it from scratch stays with you.

Nature is my classroom. Whether I am working with school groups at Inventure Academy or hosting a weekend camp in a local park, my approach remains the same: we move away from screens and textbooks to interact directly with the environment.

Why nature-based learning?

I named my platform 'En Madtidiya' after my mother's question—'What are you doing?'—because that is exactly the spirit I want to foster. It is about playful curiosity. When children or adults learn to extract colour from sappanwood or build a water filter using sand and charcoal, they are not just making a craft. They are understanding the science of sustainability and the importance of resourcefulness.

What we do

My programs in Bengaluru cover a wide range of eco-art disciplines:

  • Natural Dyeing & Tie-Dye: Using plant-based sources like indigo and marigold to transform old clothes into new art.
  • Botanical Prints: Using flower pounding techniques to transfer natural pigments onto paper and fabric.
  • Recycling Projects: Turning everyday waste, like office paper or textile scraps, into functional and beautiful products.
  • Nature Play: Engaging children in sensory activities that build patience, problem-solving skills, and a deeper connection to the outdoors.

Practical details for joining

I host these sessions in various ways: as standalone weekend workshops, as a comprehensive 5-day summer camp, or as private birthday station events at your venue. I provide all the materials, from the botanical dyes to the wooden mallets for pounding. My primary goal is that you walk away with a finished product you created yourself, and more importantly, a new way to look at the 'waste' and 'nature' around you every day.

I’m Kruthika. I believe nature is our best classroom, and my workshops are just an excuse to get us all outside. I started this to share the joy of creating things with our hands, whether it's dyeing fabric with indigo or making paper from waste, so we can slow down and reconnect with the environment.
