A Look Around the Farm
Step into the fields where my food grows. From the scent of petrichor on fresh soil to the harvest of ripe produce, here is how we cultivate it all without a single chemical.
The beautiful shades of spring at our Amarkanan farm. From vibrant red poppies to purple Cineraria flowers, the farm is bursting with colour and life, creating a healthy ecosystem for our vegetables.
The farm just after a refreshing rain shower. The water washes the leaves clean, nourishes the soil, and makes everything, from the brinjals to the leafy greens, look even more vibrant and alive.
A short video of our Jamun Day. We had fun harvesting these delicious fruits from the tree and made sure to share some with the soil, ants, and birds, because farming is about coexisting with nature.
Members of my team carefully tending to the Haldi (turmeric) plants. This hands-on approach is essential in organic farming to ensure the plants are healthy and the soil is well-maintained.
A cluster of cherry tomatoes ripening on the vine. We let our vegetables ripen naturally on the plant to develop the best possible flavour and nutritional value.
We use raised beds for growing many of our vegetables. This method improves soil quality and drainage, which leads to enhanced root health and more productive, healthier plants.
A glimpse of the fresh harvests from our Primrose Farm in Gurgaon. We are proud to see our farmletters cherishing the fruits and vegetables they help grow, like these fresh guavas.
This short video gives you a feel for what my farm is all about. From rows of fresh cabbage and brinjal to ripe tomatoes on the vine, this is a place to reconnect with nature and learn to grow your own food.
About A Look Around the Farm
Notice the raised beds throughout these photos. We don’t just plant in the ground; we build these elevated structures because they drastically improve soil aeration and drainage, which is exactly why our roots stay healthy even during Delhi's unpredictable monsoon. It is a simple, effective method that lets us grow lush greens and gourds where the soil is otherwise too compacted.
Life at the Farm
Farming isn’t just about the end product—the vegetables in your basket. It is about the ecosystem we nurture. At our Amarkanan farm in Chhatarpur and our various farmlet sites across the NCR, we observe nature’s cycles closely.
The Organic Difference
You will see us tending to crops like Haldi (turmeric) and seasonal gourds with our hands. We avoid synthetic fertilizers entirely. Instead, we use methods like jeevamrut and organic manure to enrich the mitti (soil). When you see a video of us harvesting Jamun or cherry tomatoes, you are seeing a process that prioritizes natural ripening. Nature dictates our schedule, not a factory line.
Why We Do It
This space is our living laboratory. By growing in raised beds and practicing biodiversity, we create a thriving habitat for birds, ants, and pollinators. It keeps the soil alive. When you visit us at our Gurgaon or Delhi sites, you aren't just looking at crops; you are seeing the result of letting nature do its job. We welcome you to walk these rows, breathe the air, and understand exactly where your meals originate.
