Your terrace is more than just an empty roof. We turn rooftops and balconies into productive, organic green spaces right here in the city. From soil prep to harvest, we handle the science so you can enjoy the soul of gardening.

Back in 2016, we collaborated with the stunning RAAS Devigarh heritage property to create this beautiful rooftop kitchen garden. This project shows our long-standing expertise in large-scale, high-end urban farm design.

Every great garden starts with a solid foundation. This photo shows our team in 2016, laying the groundwork for what would become one of India's most breathtaking rooftop gardens at RAAS Devigarh.

The finished garden at RAAS Devigarh, flourishing years later. We designed the layout with a central path and raised beds filled with a variety of edible plants and flowers, creating a space that is both beautiful and functional for the hotel's kitchen.

This garden has been thriving for over six years, a testament to our sustainable design and management practices. It provides a peaceful seating area for guests amidst rows of herbs, vegetables, and ornamental grasses.

We planted over 30 different varieties of plants here, including edible herbs, seasonal vegetables, and native flowering species. This biodiversity not only supports a healthy ecosystem but also provides a wide range of ingredients for the hotel's chefs.

Rooftop gardens are vital for urban areas. They help reduce the urban heat island effect, purify the air, and promote biodiversity, all while providing a beautiful natural haven.

At RAAS Devigarh, we proved that heritage can meet sustainability. This project is a perfect example of how we blend modern organic farming principles with traditional aesthetics to create something truly special.

For our client's terrace in Delhi, we planted a variety of seasonal summer veggies. This annotated image shows a thriving patch with Lauki, Tinda, Palak, Bhindi, Tomato, Tori, and Lobia, all growing together in raised beds.

We use smart solutions for small spaces. Here, a trellis is used to support climbing plants like this cucumber, maximizing vertical space and ensuring the plant gets enough air and sunlight to produce healthy fruit.

About Rooftop & Terrace Gardens: Urban Spaces Transformed

Converting a terrace into a garden isn't just about placing pots; it requires technical attention to structural weight, drainage, and waterproofing. We assess your specific roof's load-bearing capacity and sunlight patterns before deciding on raised bed materials or irrigation setups, ensuring your plants thrive without harming the building's integrity.

Making Your Rooftop Productive

Most urban terraces in Delhi face the same challenges: extreme summer heat, limited water drainage, and soil weight restrictions. We do not believe in one-size-fits-all designs. Whether you have a small residential balcony or a large commercial rooftop, we analyze the microclimate to ensure success.

The Edible Routes Way

We start by looking at your space's orientation to the sun. A plant that loves the morning sun in Chhatarpur might wilt on a high-exposure terrace in Gurugram. Our setups utilize:

  • Lightweight Media: Custom blends of cocopeat and leaf mold that won't overload your slab.
  • Drip Irrigation: Automated systems that save water and time, essential for the local heat.
  • Raised Beds: Built from durable materials that withstand the seasons.

Turning Spaces into Oases

From our work at heritage properties like RAAS Devigarh to busy urban hubs like Select City Walk, we have seen how green spaces can drop ambient temperatures and purify local air. It is not just about growing lauki (bottle gourd) or bhindi (okra); it is about creating a living ecosystem. We teach you how to maintain it, or we can step in with our monthly maintenance services to handle the pruning, pest control, and seasonal crop rotation for you.
