Hand-Sculpted Ceramic Art & Decorative Vases in Delhi
I believe clay tells a story. From abstract sculptures to whimsical character pieces, let’s design a one-of-a-kind artwork that brings real texture into your living space.
A pair of hand-built sculptural vases with a heavily textured, layered surface that mimics natural rock formations. These pieces are designed to be artistic focal points in any room.
This video shows the creation of a unique planter sculpture from start to finish. I use hand-building techniques to form the figure, which later becomes a beautiful home for a plant.
An abstract sculpture capturing the form of a seated figure, created using a rough, expressive hand-building technique. This piece celebrates the beauty of the raw, unfinished texture of the clay.
A fun, whimsical sculpture of a character in a coat, created as a custom commission. I enjoy bringing all kinds of ideas to life, including favorite characters and imaginative figures.
This wood-fired ceramic piece has a unique, rustic texture and coloration that can only be achieved through that specific firing process. It stands as a beautiful, one-of-a-kind decorative object.
A small, carved vase with a striking red and white glaze. The vertical lines are carved by hand before firing, creating a texture that interacts beautifully with the dripping glaze.
This decorative jar was finished using an Obvara firing technique, which creates the distinctive crackled and colored surface. The lid is sculpted to resemble a ram's head, adding a powerful artistic detail.
A collection of my pit-fired ceramic pots on display at the "Setu" art exhibition. The varied shapes and unique surface markings from the firing process make each one an individual piece of art.
About Decorative Sculptures & Art Pieces
When you commission a sculpture, it’s not just an order—it’s a conversation. We work with you to understand the form you want, whether it's an abstract vase to anchor a room or a unique character-driven piece. Since these are high-fired and hand-built, we factor in a few weeks for production and kiln time, so planning ahead is best if you have a specific date in mind.
The Art of Hand-Building
Unlike wheel-thrown functional ware, our decorative sculptures and art pieces are primarily hand-built. This allows for total creative freedom—we can sculpt organic forms, layered textures that mimic natural rock, or intricate figures that aren't possible on a spinning wheel. Whether it is a coil-built vessel or a free-form sculpture, every piece is made to be a focal point in your home.
Specialized Firing Techniques
What gives our art pieces their distinct look is the firing process. You will notice the varied textures in our collection, achieved through different methods:
- Obvara Firing: This traditional technique gives pieces their characteristic crackled, distressed, and colorful surface patterns. No two pieces ever look the same.
- Wood & Pit Firing: These methods interact with the raw clay to create unpredictable, rustic earth tones and markings, making each item a 1-of-1 original.
