I pair my electronic DJ sets with live percussion from Dino Banjara to create an interactive rhythm battle that pulls the crowd right into the music.
This is our signature Jugalbandi in full effect. I'm dropping a Skrillex track while Dino Banjara matches the electronic beat with raw, live djembe rhythms, creating an intense and powerful sound.
Even at a daytime Haldi, the Jugalbandi brings the heat. Here you can see me mixing while Dino adds live percussion, creating a festive and rhythmic atmosphere perfect for a carnival-style celebration.
The Jugalbandi is all about interaction. In this clip, I'm leading the crowd in a clap-along, creating a rhythm for Dino to play against. It turns the audience into part of the band.
For this Holi event, we brought together a full ensemble. My beats were layered with live percussion from Dino and the classical sounds of a sitar player, creating a unique fusion for the festival of colors.

About The Jugalbandi: DJ & Live Percussion
This is a true hybrid performance, not just a DJ playing tracks with someone tapping on a drum. Because we use live Djembe, Darbuka, and Bongos alongside my Pioneer console setup, we require a dedicated 45-minute sound check before your event. This ensures the acoustic levels of the instruments blend perfectly with the electronic bass, so you get a full, clear sound rather than a messy mix.
When you book this jugalbandi, you are getting an interactive experience that changes based on the crowd's energy. I handle the electronic foundation, blending genres like House, Sufi, and Techno, while Dino Banjara responds in real time with live percussive improvisation. This creates a back-and-forth dynamic that keeps guests engaged, whether it is a high-energy Sangeet, a Haldi carnival, or a late-night club set.
The Setup
I bring my full production rig, including a MacBook Pro and Pioneer CDJ 2000 NXS2 or 3000 consoles. We sync these with the percussion rig, which includes Timbals, Cymbals, and electronic pads. This is not a static show; we use this gear to loop, effect, and remix tracks live, turning standard songs into something unique for your event.
