High-Energy Live Jam Sessions with DJ & Percussion
I bring the booth to life by fusing electronic beats with the raw power of live percussion. It is a rhythmic conversation between my console and the drummer that keeps the dance floor moving.
The energy when my beats meet the live rhythm of a dhol player. This is a full-power performance, with confetti flying and the crowd completely immersed in the sound.

About Live Jam Sessions
When we do these live sets, the secret isn't just playing tracks; it's about the timing between me and the percussionist. We don't use pre-recorded loops. Whether it's a Dhol or live electronic drums, we are reacting to the crowd in real-time, which means we need a specific stage setup to stay in sync. If you are booking this, prioritize a good stage riser so your guests can actually see the interaction between the console and the percussionist.
These live sessions are different because they aren't static. My style is all about 'Jugalbandi,' where the DJ console acts as a lead instrument, trading rhythms back and forth with a live percussionist. Whether we are jamming on Dhol for a traditional Baraat or laying Afro-House beats with electronic drums for an after-party, the dynamic changes the room.
Planning for this is a bit more involved than a solo set. Because we are performing a hybrid act, audio quality matters. I need a clear line array system so the percussion doesn't get muddied by the bass. We also require a stage riser, typically 8ft by 6ft, to ensure the drummer has room to move and the crowd can see the performance. It turns a standard party into a show. If you want that festival-style energy at your wedding or private event in Delhi, this is the format that gets people off their seats and on the floor.
Rahul Walia
I’m Rahul. For me, DJing is how I breathe, but adding live percussion? That’s where the real magic happens. When I’m on the console and a drummer joins in, we aren’t just playing music—we’re building a conversation that hits differently.
