The magic happens in the live timing. When Rohin picks up the djembe or congas while I am on the Pioneer decks, we are not just playing tracks from a playlist. We are feeding off the crowd energy, adjusting the rhythm and intensity on the fly. It turns a standard song into a live jam that you feel in your chest.
My performances are designed to bridge the gap between a club set and a live concert. I call this our jugalbandi, a term that describes the interplay between my electronic mixing and Rohin's rhythmic percussion. We use a professional setup featuring Pioneer CDJ-3000 multi-players and the DJM-900NXS2 mixer, which ensures the sound remains crisp and punchy regardless of the venue acoustics.
We do not just show up and press play. We spend time before the event coordinating with sound engineers to ensure our live instruments, like the electronic drum pads and congas, sit perfectly in the mix with the house tracks. Whether I am dropping a new Bollywood remix or we are syncing up for a high-intensity commercial dance number, the goal is always the same: to get people off their chairs.
We have performed at everything from massive weddings in Bodrum to intimate parties in Mumbai.
