Sachi Sewa: Our Commitment to Community Care
Beyond the clinic, we believe in serving Delhi’s heart. Sachi Sewa is our initiative to bring kindness, dignity, and accessible physiotherapy to those who need it most.
This banner is the symbol of my *Sachi Sewa* initiative. It represents our commitment to "Connecting Helpful with Needful" by providing services like no-fees home physiotherapy and no-rent hospital materials to the underprivileged.
*Garmi toh har saal aati hai*, and so does our resolve to help. Here, a volunteer serves chilled sharbat during our Chabeel drive, offering a moment of relief and kindness to passersby in the Delhi heat.
A simple glass of chilled rose sharbat, prepared in a large pot for everyone. This is the essence of Chabeel: a gesture of selfless service to quench thirst and spread smiles.
Our Chabeel stall is set up to serve everyone. You can see our *Sachi Sewa* board in the background, which also offers information about our free home physiotherapy services for those in need.
A volunteer hands a glass of Chabeel to a woman on the street. These small interactions are what build a compassionate community, one glass at a time.
Kindness knows no boundaries. Our volunteers offer refreshing Chabeel to people in cars and on the street, ensuring everyone gets a chance to cool down.
Serving the community includes people from all walks of life. Here, a volunteer offers a cool drink to a gentleman, embodying the spirit of respect and care that defines *Sachi Sewa*.
Winter brings its own challenges, and our *Sachi Sewa* team steps up to help. Here, we are distributing warm mufflers to children, bringing a little warmth and comfort during the cold nights.
A smile and a warm muffler can make a big difference. We ensure that even the youngest members of our community are cared for during our winter donation drives.
During the colder months, we organize a "Chay Langar" to serve hot tea and snacks. This video shows our team providing warmth and nourishment, fostering a sense of community and connection.
About Sachi Sewa: Our Service to the Community
Sachi Sewa is our way of showing that quality physiotherapy shouldn't be reserved only for those who can easily afford it. We actively dedicate resources to provide free home physiotherapy and loan medical equipment to the underprivileged, ensuring that dignity remains at the core of every treatment we provide, whether in our clinic or at your home.
For me, healing is not just about clinical precision; it is about community. I started Velocity Fitness Clinic in 1999 with the belief that pain is a signal we must address with respect, not just a label to be treated. Sachi Sewa serves as the heartbeat of this practice, 'connecting the helpful with the needful.'
Why Sachi Sewa Matters
Healthcare in a city as fast-paced as Delhi can feel transactional. Our initiative changes that narrative by ensuring we reach out to those who cannot access standard care. This includes:
- Free Home Physiotherapy: Specialized care for seniors and the underprivileged who cannot travel to a clinic.
- Rent-Free Medical Equipment: Providing walkers, beds, and other essential rehab tools to those on a recovery journey.
- Community Outreach: From 'Chay Langar' in winter to free Chabeel drives during the peak Delhi heat, we show up to support our neighbours when it matters most.
How We Work
When you hire us for physiotherapy, you are supporting a clinic that prioritizes people over profits. The same meticulous assessment and 'no-pain-is-normal' philosophy we apply in our paid consultations is the foundation of our Sachi Sewa work. We do not use shortcuts, and we do not ignore the root cause of discomfort. Whether you are looking for post-surgery rehabilitation, geriatric care, or chronic pain management, you are choosing a partner who is invested in your long-term independence.
If you are in North or West Delhi and need support, or if you simply want to know more about how we blend our professional services with our community initiatives, let's talk.
Rajiv Mehta
I'm Dr. Rajiv, and I started this journey in 1999 because I saw too many people struggling with pain in silence. Through Sachi Sewa, my team and I make sure that care reaches beyond our clinic walls, because everyone in our city deserves to feel supported and pain-free.
