Behind the Scenes: Our Craftsmanship in Action
I don't just hand over a drawing and walk away. Here is the real work—the messy, creative, and precise process of turning raw materials into a home you love.
Some might see this as unpolished work, but for me, this is the path to success. Here you can see my team and I working on the final touches, installing a custom-quilted headboard on-site.
From a 2D drawing to reality. This video shows my team meticulously crafting a custom "ice cream" shaped headboard, proving that any design can be brought to life with skill and dedication.
Precision is key in our work. This video shows one of our carpenters using a hand router to create perfect grooves for a designer partition, ensuring a clean and professional finish.
This is the standard process for applying laminate to plywood. We ensure the surface is clean, apply adhesive evenly, and press carefully to remove all air bubbles for a flawless bond.
False ceilings are great for adding elegance and hiding wiring. This video shows two different designs, one with a curved profile and another with a modern geometric shape, both with integrated cove lighting.
A look at the raw construction of a false ceiling. This is the foundational work that happens before the final finishing and painting, creating the shapes that define the room's lighting.
The finished look of a modern false ceiling design. The clean lines and multi-level structure, combined with warm lighting, add depth and sophistication to the room.
This video shows the making of a long TV unit, from the basic plywood structure to our craftsmen installing designer sheets and a brown mirror.
A glimpse into the making of a custom mandir unit. You can see the basic structure being built and the decorative CNC-cut panels ready for installation.
This video shows the various finishing phases at a site, including our painters working on a 3D accent wall, spray painting panels, and preparing the walls for the final coat.
About Behind the Scenes: Our Craftsmanship
A lot of people ask why I prefer on-site craftsmanship over factory-made, pre-fab furniture. The truth is, on-site work lets us adapt to the reality of a Mumbai flat. Whether it is trimming a frame to fit a crooked wall gap or adjusting a cabinet groove to match your home's specific lighting, I am there with my team, fixing, testing, and perfecting until it fits your space exactly.
When you see a finished TV unit or a wardrobe, you usually don't see the hours of marking, routing, and adhesive application that came before it. My team of craftsmen—the real magicians behind Dizzart Interiors—approaches every project with this 'jugaad' mindset.
We don't look for shortcuts; we look for intelligent fixes.
Our Workflow on Your Site
- Surface Prep: Before we apply a single sheet of laminate, we clean and level the plywood carcass. Air bubbles or uneven surfaces are not an option.
- Precision Routing: We use hand routers to create clean, sharp grooves for partitions and paneling. This gives that high-end, joinery-free look that makes a home feel premium.
- Structural Foundation: Whether it is a false ceiling or a kitchen cabinet, we build the internal framework (the skeleton) to last. We use BWP (Boiling Water Proof) Marine Ply because, in Mumbai, moisture is the real enemy of good design.
Why 'Jugaad' Matters
People often misuse the word 'jugaad,' thinking it means 'quick and dirty.' For me, it is the opposite. It is about clever problem-solving. If a ceiling has an awkward beam that ruins the aesthetic, we design a profile light pattern to hide it. If your wardrobe has a dead corner, we install hidden shelving. My job is to take the space you have and make it work for how you actually live, not just how it looks in a brochure.
