Modern Living Room & TV Unit Designs
I create living rooms that balance style with Mumbai-friendly functionality, focusing on custom TV units, smart lighting, and clever space-saving details.
This video shows a closer look at a custom TV unit with a marble-finish backdrop and integrated lighting. Notice the hidden door I designed next to it for a seamless, clean look.
For this living room, I used a combination of wooden rafters, a brown mirror for a sense of space, and Corian countertops. The result is a warm and inviting TV unit that is rich in texture.
A simple yet elegant TV unit design. The combination of dark wood fluting, a clean white console, and warm spotlights creates a balanced and modern look for the living room.
Here's a walkthrough of the TV unit, showing how the different elements like the rafters, wallpaper, and lighting come together to create a cohesive and stylish living space.
Book-matched tiles create a stunning, symmetrical pattern that can turn a simple wall into a work of art. Here, I used them to create a dramatic and luxurious feature wall in the living area.
This video gives a glimpse into a living room I designed, featuring a comfortable sofa-cum-bed for guests, a unique false ceiling design, and a dedicated mandir space.
About Living Room & Entertainment Spaces
When I design a TV unit, I don't just look at the visuals. I plan for where your wires will go, how the lighting hits the wall, and whether we can sneak in hidden storage or a concealed door to keep the room looking clean, not cluttered. It is about making the space work for you, not just for the photos.
Living rooms are the heart of a home. In Mumbai, where every inch is precious, I approach these spaces with a mix of design and 'jugaad' to ensure you get maximum value without sacrificing the look.
My Approach to TV Units
A TV unit is the anchor of your living room. I often use fluted panels, charcoal sheets, and rafters to add depth and texture. But the magic is in the build. I make sure the paneling hides the ugly wire mess and incorporates ambient LED profiles that aren't too harsh on your eyes when you are watching a movie at night.
Material Choices that Last
I am picky about what goes on your walls. Whether it is book-matched tiles that create a seamless, dramatic look or simple high-gloss laminates, I select materials that are durable and easy to clean. If you want a luxury feel on a budget, we can mix materials like marble-finish panels with metallic inlays for that rich, high-end aesthetic without the high-end price tag.
Making Space Work
If your living room is also your study or a guest room, I build in flexibility. Think sofa-cum-beds, folding tables, or mandir units that blend into the wall paneling rather than sticking out. My team and I focus on executing these details perfectly because a design is only as good as the finish on the day we hand over the keys.
