About Intimate Poetry Salons & Workshops
These sessions are not about performance or critique, but about quiet presence. We keep every gathering limited to about 15 people, set in unassuming spaces like quiet bookstores or private studios across Delhi. You will find tea, shared conversation, and the freedom to read or listen without the pressure of an audience.
A space for the unspoken
Poetry often feels like something locked behind a podium, but here, it is a living room conversation. My salons are designed to be a soft landing. Whether we are reading the works of Faiz or exploring modern prompts, the goal is not to dissect the verse, but to let the verse sit with us. It is about building a spoken word community where vulnerability is the only requirement.
How it works
We move across Delhi-NCR, anchoring our sessions in bookstores, galleries, and private studios that feel like home.
- The Format: We gather, share tea, and dive into a theme or a specific poet.
- The Atmosphere: Think dhoop ki khushboo, shared reflection, and zero pressure to be a scholar.
- The People: This space is open to everyone. You do not need to be a writer to belong here. If you are queer, curious, or just looking to connect, you belong in this circle.
Private gatherings
If you want to host something specific for your own group—at your home, office, or garden—I can curate a session tailored to the mood you want to set. I handle the facilitation, the curated readings, and the ice-breakers, while you bring the people. It is a way to turn a standard get-together into something with a bit more depth and meaning.
