About Lyrical Forest Walks
This isn’t a lecture, so leave your literary analysis at home. We use poems by authors like Mary Oliver or Ruskin Bond as prompts for the walk, helping you pause, notice the shift in the light, and actually inhabit the forest rather than just rushing through it.
Nature has a way of silencing the noise of the city, and poetry has a way of making us hear what we usually ignore. My walks are about bridging that gap. When we walk through spaces like Sunder Nursery or Sanjay Van, we aren't there to perform. We are there to show up.
Why the forest?
Because nature is the original classroom. Whether we are reading Emily Dickinson or listening to the birds, the environment does the heavy lifting. I facilitate the space, but the poem emerges from the silence between the trees. These walks are about healing, queerness, and finding a moment of rest in a city that is always moving.
What to expect
Each session lasts two hours. It is low-pressure by design. We read, we walk, and we share. There is no right or wrong way to interpret a line of verse. Whether you are an artist, a student, or just someone looking for a quiet morning away from screens, you belong here.
We provide all the reading material. All you need to bring is comfortable footwear and an open mind. These sessions are inclusive, safe spaces where we check our judgments at the gate.
