About Immersive Poetry Writing Workshops
What I Believe
Poetry isn’t just words. It’s what’s felt in the body, in the rush of blood after a fight or in the quiet after. I try to make poetry less about fancy rules or the big stage and more about a real experience - something you hold, sense, and live. I don’t teach poetry, I create space for you to let it appear.
What Happens Here
This isn’t a technical class - we skip the strict rules. Instead, I help you connect with your own stories through reflection and creative prompts. Sometimes we use poems, sometimes letters, sometimes even the smell of coffee. We mix things up with visuals and movement, all to get words flowing in new ways. The space is chill, gentle, and open for whatever you bring.
Who Shows Up
Everyone’s welcome. If you’ve never written a poem, you’re good. If you write often, this is a place to break out of the rut and find something new. Maybe you’re just curious or looking for a little healing - there’s space for that too.
Our Workshop Vibes
No two workshops are the same. One day we’re writing about the ocean, the next we’re sipping coffee and crafting poems from its flavours. Sometimes we walk through Delhi, letting the city write with us - “Tazkira Dehli-e-marhoom ka ae dost na chhed” (Don’t talk to me of Late Lamented Delhi, my friend). We team up with artists, make zines, and get inspired by poets like Mary Oliver and Ocean Vuong.
What You Leave With
You’ll take home at least one poem that’s yours. You’ll also find new ways to get past writer’s block, feel creatively recharged, and maybe even a sense of healing. Plus, you’ll meet others who get what you’re about.
How We Roll
I run every session myself. Groups are small (7-15 people) so everyone gets space. Sessions can be quick 2-hour dips or deep multi-day journeys. We meet in bookstores, cafes, or cultural spots around New Delhi and Bangalore. Everything you need - pens, paper, coffee - is sorted.

My Story
Hi, I’m Rachit, the one behind Dillipoetry. I just wanted poetry to get off the stage, into our bones, into Delhi’s air. Two years back, I started Lyrical Walks—felt poetry with feet and heart, not just words. For me, poetry is a portal: climate, queerness, identity, resistance, all tangled in verse. My words travel, but the real magic? It’s in small circles, forest walks, blank pages dented by real people, one poem at a time.
My Work
Poetic Healing Forest Walks - We wander together, letting poetry grow in the wild, feeling each word in our bodies.
Immersive Poetry Workshops - No teaching, just making space for poems to show up. Prompts, nature, and deep reflection guide us.
Intimate Poetry Salons & Literary Performances - Small gatherings, honest sharing, curated readings—where verse meets life, no filters.
Open to All - Queer, curious, artist, beginner—doesn’t matter. If poetry feels alive to you, you belong here.
