How We Bring It to Life

I treat every portrait as a story, not just a drawing. My process is simple and transparent, designed to make the experience as joyful as the final piece.

My Mediums & Approach For custom portraits, I mostly work with watercolours, soft pastels, or ink on high-quality 300 GSM acid-free paper.

• Pastels: Great for capturing soft skin tones and a warm, dreamy feel.
• Watercolours & Ink: Perfect for that classic, expressive sketch look, especially for my urban sketching style.

The Process

• Rough Draft: As mentioned, we start with a pencil sketch. You get to see the composition before I add layers.
• Preservation: Once finished, I apply a matte fixative spray to all pastel and charcoal works. This prevents smudging so your portrait stays clean and crisp over time.
• Ready to Frame: I deliver all paper illustrations secured between hardboards and waterproof wrapping. They arrive ready for you to take to your local framer.
