Western & Bollywood Dance Classes
Training Structure
- Frequency: 8 sessions per month, conducted twice a week.
- Duration: 60 minutes per session.
- Batch Size: Groups of 5 to 12 students to ensure individual attention.
- Curriculum: Covers Bollywood, Freestyle, and basics of Western Contemporary dance.
Facility & Extras
- Infrastructure: Air-conditioned studio with wooden laminate flooring and wall-to-wall mirrors.
- Performance Prep: Regular in-studio jamming sessions to build confidence.
Policies
- Makeup Classes: Provided only if the faculty cancels; no adjustments for student absenteeism.
- Exclusions: Costumes for events and annual function fees are not included.
Classical Kathak & Certification Course
Academic Curriculum
- Affiliation: Syllabus aligned with Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad guidelines.
- Format: Includes both practical training (Tatkar, Chakkar, Mudras) and theory classes (History, Taal systems).
- Frequency: 8 classes per month, conducted twice a week.
- Exams: Preparation for annual grade examinations (exam registration fees are charged separately).
Instruction & Performance
- Guidance: Training under a qualified Guru focusing on traditional discipline.
- Showcase: Eligibility to perform at the annual Dhwani Kala Mahotsav and institute festive events.
- Accompaniment: Training utilizes electronic Tanpura/Tabla apps or live instrumental support during sessions.
Requirements
- Attire: Students are expected to wear specific ethnic practice wear (Kurta/Leggings).

Why Dance With Us
For us, dance is not just a skill you pick up. It’s a whole vibe. When you join my classes, you’re part of the Dhwani family—supportive, sometimes noisy, always welcoming. I don’t treat students as numbers. We share our wins, struggles, and yes, sore legs too!
What I Teach
- Kathak is our main passion, but I also love teaching Bharatanatyam and Odissi. All ages welcome, total beginners to those who already know a few mudras.
- Bollywood group dance lessons are always a hit. Expect energy, laughs, and a lot of filmy moments.
- If you’re missing home or want to feel festive, we cover Indian folk dance training like Dandiya too.
- I mix in some fusion and freestyle for those who like breaking the rules.
How Classes Work
- I keep things hands-on, but you’ll get some theory too. Not everyone loves the history bits, but it helps you dance with more meaning.
- Group lessons are the norm here. Everyone cheers for each other, and honestly, it makes learning less awkward.
- If you want, I can guide you through certifications like Prayag Sangeet Samiti.

My Story
Namaste! We’re Dhwani Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, and for us, music is life, bas (that’s it). We started with a dream and a love for our culture—our founder’s portrait is always with us at every event. Kids with stage fright, now performing confidently, that’s what makes us proud. Parents trust us, even from far away, and our Dhwani Kala Mahotsav is pure celebration. Our teachers? Bohot mehnat karte hain (work really hard). Here, we all learn together, age no bar.
