Custom Bridal & Festive Lehengas with Perfect Fit
Forget the usual 'adjust maadi' (just adjust it) fixes. I create bridal and festive lehengas using a signature drafting technique that guarantees a perfect fit, whether you need heavy Aari work or a clean, modern silhouette.
A stunning lavender lehenga with intricate embroidery, paired with a rich velvet blouse. This piece is available for rent and is perfect for a sangeet or reception, giving you a royal look.
A modern take on the lehenga. This vibrant pink outfit features a crop top with unique white embroidery and sheer sleeves, paired with a flowing skirt. It's a perfect example of a custom-designed party wear lehenga.
One of my students, Soumya, created this beautiful panel-cut lehenga with a Madhubala blouse. The combination of peach, pink, and purple with a traditional print makes it a vibrant choice for any festive occasion.
This is a traditional pleated lehenga with a rich zari border, paired with a red Madhubala blouse. In my workshops, I teach how to achieve these perfect pleats and a flawless finish for a classic bridal look.
A closer look at the traditional pleated lehenga and Madhubala blouse set. I focus on techniques like creating permanent pleats and ensuring the waistband is perfectly finished for a boutique-quality garment.
A full view of a breathtaking custom-designed reception lehenga. The detailed embroidery and flowing silhouette are crafted to make a grand entrance. I work closely with clients to bring such dream outfits to life.
A showcase of two distinct lehenga styles designed by my students. On the left, a light green Anarkali-style lehenga, and on the right, a floral lehenga with a scalloped hem, showing the range of designs we cover.
My student's final project: a beautiful brown lehenga with intricate bandhani-style print and sequin work. She designed and stitched this entire outfit herself after completing my course, proving that anyone can become a designer.
A student-designed half-saree style lehenga. The combination of a pleated olive green skirt and a royal blue blouse and dupatta shows a great understanding of color and traditional design.
A student's creation featuring a maroon off-shoulder blouse paired with a yellow pleated lehenga. This demonstrates the fusion of modern blouse styles with traditional skirts that we teach in our course.
About Bridal & Festive Lehengas
My secret isn't just the sewing machine, it's the paper drafting. Before I touch your fabric, I create a custom pattern based on your exact measurements. This technique ensures deep-neck blouses don't slip off your shoulders and lehengas have that perfect circular flare that doesn't collapse, even after hours of dancing.
When you look at a lehenga, you might just see the embroidery or the fabric, but I see the structure beneath it. A truly great lehenga—whether for a wedding or a festive reception—needs more than just good stitching. It needs engineering. That is why I never cut directly on the fabric. By drafting a paper pattern first, I control the seam allowances, the dart placement, and the weight distribution.
For bridal lehengas, I build the volume using a multi-layer approach. We use high-quality Can-Can for that dramatic, regal flare, and I reinforce the hemlines with horsehair braid (crinoline) to ensure the shape stays circular and doesn't droop or collapse by the end of the evening.
Whether you are bringing me a heavy Kanjeevaram silk or want me to source delicate organza, the internal construction remains my priority. I focus on:
- Structured Bodices: Using premium fusing canvas and padding so your blouse stays in place without constant tugging.
- No-Slip Shoulders: My signature drafting prevents the dreaded 'shoulder fall' common in deep-neck designs.
- Flawless Finish: From overlocking raw edges to concealed hemming, the inside of your garment should look as clean as the outside.
This is the same meticulous standard I teach my students at my Vidyaranyapura and Mysuru centers. When you see photos of students' work in this gallery, you are seeing the result of this rigorous process. If you want a lehenga that fits like it was molded for you, that is my responsibility.
