Signature Bridal Lehengas for Modern South Indian Brides
Your bridal lehenga should be as unique as your story. From traditional raw silk weaves to modern sculpted silhouettes, I design outfits that balance heritage craftsmanship with contemporary grace.
This bride is glowing in a custom orange silk lehenga. The skirt features a hand-painted border, and I paired it with a fully Kashmiri embroidered georgette dupatta and a matching embroidered blouse for a vibrant, celebratory look.
A beautiful portrait of sisters, one wearing my orange silk lehenga with a hand-painted border and the other in a custom blue printed lehenga. It shows how I can create distinct yet complementary outfits for your bridal party.
A happy moment between sisters at a wedding celebration. The rich orange silk and intricate Kashmiri embroidery on the georgette dupatta create a look that is both elegant and full of life.
This raw silk lehenga is a canvas of multicolor floral embroidery, perfect for a bride who wants a touch of fairytale romance. The dramatic puff sleeves on the blouse add a modern, high-fashion element to the ensemble.
A full view of the soft pink raw silk lehenga, showcasing the intricate, dense embroidery that covers the skirt. The organza puff-sleeve blouse creates a beautiful contrast in texture and silhouette.
The way this heavily embroidered raw silk lehenga sits is just beautiful. It’s designed to create a grand, regal silhouette, making it an ideal choice for a wedding ceremony or a grand reception.
A bold and contemporary design featuring a sculpted skirt with 3D hand embroidery. The striking combination of pink and blue, detailed with graphic patterns in corded cut dana, makes this a true statement piece for a modern bride.
About this collection
I prioritize fit above everything else. My process includes at least three sessions, from initial mock-up to final fitting, to ensure your lehenga contours perfectly to your body. Whether we use 60gm raw silk or sculpted fabrics, my focus is always on volume, movement, and ensuring the heavy embroidery sits comfortably so you can actually enjoy your celebrations.
When you walk into my studio in Sanjayanagara, we start with a conversation about what you want to feel on your wedding day. You might have seen these photos of heavy raw silk skirts or sculpted, modern designs, but the real work happens in the details that you cannot see in a picture.
Why the fit matters
I use high-density, pre-washed cotton linings, which means you won't have to deal with itchy fabric against your skin for hours. For the skirts, I use a 12 to 16 kali (panel) construction to ensure that signature flare, supported by triple-layer volume guards and horsehair braid hemming. This keeps your lehenga holding its shape even when you are walking or dancing.
Design and Embroidery
My team of karigars specializes in traditional Zardosi and Maggam work. We do not just apply heavy embroidery; we map it. If you want a specific motif—perhaps temple architecture or a subtle floral pattern—we sketch it to scale before the thread hits the fabric. I often help brides mix textures, like pairing a heavy Zardosi-worked raw silk skirt with a sheer organza dupatta to keep the ensemble from feeling too heavy.
The Custom Journey
Whether you are looking for a complete outfit or interested in transforming a family heirloom saree into a lehenga, the process remains the same. We dye fabrics to match your exact vision, adjust the blouse necklines to suit your comfort, and ensure every latkan and border is placed intentionally. If you have an existing saree, we can inspect its strength and fuse it to create a new, wearable piece that retains your family’s blessing.
Anyra Couture
I am the founder behind Anyra Couture, where I believe every outfit is a piece of your personal story. I love mixing old-school Kanchi silk with fresh, modern cuts to create bridal wear that feels meaningful rather than just made. My studio in Sanjayanagara is where we sit down to sketch out your vision, one thread at a time.
