Handmade Watercolor & Acrylic Artworks
A collection of paintings that tell stories from my visual diary—from the streets of Namma Bengaluru to the vibrant festivals of India.
This painting of the 'purani galiyan' of Banaras captures the soul of India that I love to paint. This watercolor piece, featuring a classic Indian street scene with its old architecture and a resting cow, is a perfect example of how I find stories waiting to be told in the most ordinary moments.
The bond between a mother and child is a feeling I've come to know so deeply. This watercolor of Yashoda and Krishna is very close to my heart, painted with all the emotion of motherhood, especially for Janmashtami.
I believe art is everywhere, even on the breakfast table. This is a quick still life watercolor of an Amul butter pack and some pickle, things I literally picked from my kitchen. It’s a reminder that beauty is in the simple, everyday things.
There's a special kind of magic in things that remind us of a simpler time. This commissioned watercolor of a classic red India Post letterbox is one of my most requested subjects, and I love bringing this piece of nostalgia to life for my clients.
Holi is a festival of pure joy and color, and I tried to capture that feeling in this watercolor painting. It shows the spirit of the celebration, complete with gujiyas, and me covered in colors. This is what my art is all about: life and celebration.
While watercolors are my first love, I enjoy exploring other mediums too. This vibrant macaw was painted with acrylics on a wood panel, which gives the colors a unique depth and texture. It shows a different side of my artistic expression.
Namma Bengaluru is full of iconic spots, and CTR is one of them. This watercolor sketch captures the evening buzz outside the famous eatery, known for its benne dosa. It’s a piece of my city, a place that fills my sketchbook and my heart.
The greatest joy for me is seeing my art become a part of someone's home and story. A wonderful client shared this photo of her wall, which she calls 'Debo's wall'. It's filled with my paintings, and it means the world to me.
Each painting is a journey of layers, patience, and trust in the process. This video shows a real time glimpse into how I build up colors and details in my watercolor portraits, bringing a character to life one brushstroke at a time.
I am fascinated by the vibrant culture and people of India. This watercolor portrait of a Rajasthani woman, with her colorful attire and graceful presence, is part of a series where I explore the beauty and stories of the faces I encounter.
About Featured
When you look at these pieces, you are seeing more than just paint on paper; you are seeing the result of professional-grade materials like Arches cotton paper and Mijello Mission paints. I believe in giving your home a piece of art that lasts, which is why I use 300 GSM archival surfaces and secure, moisture-resistant packaging. If you are considering a commission, know that I approach every subject—whether it is a bustling Bengaluru street or a quiet morning still life—with the same care I use for my own personal collection.
My art is my visual diary. It captures the things I love: the chaos of our festivals, the calm of a morning coffee, and the heritage that defines our cities.
The Mediums I Use I primarily work with watercolors for their fluid, unpredictable nature, though I do turn to acrylics on wood panels for pieces that need more texture and depth. Whether it is a small A5 study for your desk or a larger A3 cityscape, I choose the surface to match the story.
Commissioning A Piece If you see a style you like but want something personalized, we can make it happen. I handle custom portraits, ancestral home paintings, and heritage series commissions. Since I am based in Bengaluru, I love capturing the local pulse—from CTR's Benne Dosa crowds to the quiet charm of old lanes—but I ship safely across India.
Packaging Matters Art is fragile, so I take no chances. My small works are sandwiched between rigid mount boards in acid-free sleeves, and larger pieces travel in reinforced industrial mailing tubes. You get the art in the same condition it leaves my studio.
