Flexibility Workshops for Aerialists and Dancers
I design these sessions to be a space for curiosity rather than just copying shapes. In my small-group intensives, we use active flexibility drills to help you gain strength and mobility you can actually use, whether you are on the hoop, silks, or just looking to improve your movement.
A little glimpse into one of my aerial workshops. My goal is always to create a supportive space where we can break down movements, work on foundational strength and mobility drills, and celebrate the process of learning together.
About Inside My Workshops
In these 90-minute sessions, we don't just hold static stretches. I teach Russian-style active flexibility and PNF techniques that build strength at your end-range, which is the key to keeping your gains. I keep the groups capped at 10 participants so I can give everyone hands-on spotting and individual corrections to ensure your alignment stays safe.
My Approach to Flexibility
I see flexibility as a messy, ongoing exploration. You will have days where you feel stuck and days where you have a breakthrough, and both are part of the process. My workshops are built for people who want to understand their body mechanics—dancers, pole artists, and aerialists who feel like they have plateaued and need a new way to train.
What We Cover
We don't do generic stretching. We work through a structured 90-minute format designed to build real mobility:
- Warm-up: 20 minutes of high-intensity mobility drills to wake up the muscles.
- Conditioning: 30 minutes of pre-hab exercises to support joint health.
- Deep Work: 30 minutes of long-hold static stretches combined with partner-assisted PNF techniques.
- Cool Down: 10 minutes of reset movements to prevent post-session compression.
Choose Your Focus
You can pick between two specialized modules based on what you need to improve:
Backbend Training: We dig into thoracic extension, shoulder opening, and strengthening the lower back to create graceful lines that feel secure, not strained.
Splits Training: We focus on front and middle split mechanics, working on hip flexor release and hamstring lengthening to help you move beyond surface-level flexibility.
I host these sessions at professional facilities like BoulderBox in Vasant Kunj, ensuring we have the right flooring and wall-mounted bars for leverage-based training. Bring your curiosity and be ready to work—we celebrate the small wins here as much as the big ones.
