About Custom Chairs & Seating
When you order a chair from me, you are not picking from a catalog. We discuss the wood grain, the joinery style, and the exact foam density based on whether it is for a dining room or a lounge corner. I personally inspect the frame's stability before a single drop of polish is applied to ensure it never wobbles.
How I Build Your Chair
My process starts with raw wood, not pre-fabricated boards. Whether you are looking for a mid-century modern dining chair or a bespoke armchair, I work with solid CP Teak and Ash wood. For the construction, I stick to traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery reinforced with industrial-grade adhesives. This is how I ensure a chair stays wobble-free for years, even in humid weather.
Materials That Matter
I am a firm believer in the texture of real materials.
- Wood: Teak offers durability and a classic look, while Ash provides that striking grain pattern. Both are seasoned to handle Mumbai's humidity.
- Cane & Rattan: I use genuine, hand-woven cane. It adds breathability and that natural, tactile feel that mass-produced plastic or laminate cannot replicate.
- Upholstery & Comfort: A chair is only as good as its seat. I use 40D to 50D High Resilience (HR) foam, which does not sag after a few months of use. For sofas and deeper seats, I integrate elastic webbing and S-springs to give the right level of bounce.
From Sketch to Sit
You do not need a finished CAD file to get started. You can show me a Pinterest image, a sketch, or just describe the shape. We will refine the ergonomics together—tapered legs, turned backs, or specific armrest heights. Everything is built at my workshop in Vasai. I do not outsource the heavy lifting, so I am involved in the sanding, the staining, and the final quality check. If you have a specific stain in mind, from natural walnut to charcoal black, we will match it.

I run my workshop in Vasai with a focus on old-school joinery and honest materials. I do not believe in shortcuts; I would rather spend an extra hour on sanding and quality checks than send out something I would not use in my own home.
