When we work together, I don't just focus on the hairstyle. I coordinate with your makeup artist on details like volume, placement of accessories, and how your dupatta is pinned to ensure the entire look is balanced. This back-and-forth ensures that your hair doesn't just look good in the chair, but stays secure and comfortable through hours of events.
Behind the Scenes of a Bridal Look
Creating a bridal look is a team effort. Because I am used to working alongside top makeup artists, I have a specific flow for how we prep your hair.
The Technical Foundation To get those long-lasting, glamorous styles you see in the gallery, we start with the right foundation. For updos and buns, I use professional-grade crimping and structural padding to build volume that stays put. If we are doing open styles, I use specific heat-protectants and setting sprays to maintain the waves regardless of the humidity or the length of your event.
Planning Your Style I always suggest we look at your outfit and the jewelry you plan to wear before we decide on the final structure.
- Dupatta Setting: Whether it is a heavy bridal veil or a light cocktail dupatta, I pin it to ensure it does not drag on the hair or ruin the volume.
- Extension Blending: If you have clip-in extensions, bring them along. I am an expert at blending them into your natural hair so they look seamless.
- Accessory Placement: I work with fresh flowers like gajras, roses, or hair pins to complement your attire perfectly.
Travel & Trials I am based in Mumbai, but my kit is always packed. Whether you are getting ready at a hotel, your home, or a destination venue, I travel to you.
