About Behind the Magic: My Process
Before a single pin goes into your hair, it is all about structure. Whether it is using double-sided tape for a stubborn maang tikka or setting a strong foundation for heavy bridal dupattas, my process is about making sure your style survives the event. I focus on building a secure base first so you can dance, move, and enjoy yourself without constantly fixing your hair.
People often think hairstyling is just about the final aesthetic, but the real magic happens in the hours before. For a bridal event, my process starts with hair prep—blow drying and heavy crimping to give your hair the volume and grip it needs to hold heavy jewelry all day. If you have clip-in extensions, I integrate them seamlessly so they blend perfectly with your natural hair.
I pay special attention to the foundation. For heavy bridal dupattas, I build a structural base using padding so the weight is distributed evenly, not pulling on your scalp. I also carry a kit of small life-savers, like double-sided tape for maang tikkas or specific clips to secure a veil that won't budge.
During Sangeet or Reception styles, my focus shifts to movement. If you want Hollywood waves or a textured ponytail, I use professional-grade humidity-resistant sprays and texturizing dust to keep that bounce alive even when the stage lights are hot. My team and I handle everything from simple pin-ups to complex braiding styles.
Whether we are working at a luxury hotel in South Mumbai or at a destination wedding, my team and I focus on one thing: creating a look that is not just beautiful in photos but comfortable in real life.
