About Spring & Easter Delights
Since I hand-build every bunny and rooster from scratch using pinching and slab techniques, no two pieces are exactly identical—which is where the real charm lies. I make these in limited small batches, so if you spot a particular character you connect with, just shoot me a message to check if it is still in the kiln or ready to ship.
Spring is all about new beginnings, and for me, it is the season to get my hands covered in clay. These ceramic figurines are a labour of love, inspired by the playful energy of the season.
My Process
Every bunny, rooster, and sheep you see here starts as a simple lump of stoneware clay. I do not use molds, so every detail—from the tilt of a bunny's ear to the texture of a rooster's comb—is shaped by my hands. After the initial sculpting, the pieces go through a drying process before they are fired, glazed in soft pastels, and fired again for durability.
Styling Your Space
These pieces are designed to be versatile. While they are a hit during the Easter season, I love seeing them on bookshelves or bedside tables year-round. They are high-fired, meaning they are sturdy enough for indoor display. If you are ordering these for a table centerpiece or a mantle, remember that they are lightweight ceramic, so they do best on flat, stable surfaces.
Care Instructions
Because these are hand-painted with delicate glazes, they prefer a gentle touch. Dust them with a soft, dry cloth. Please avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbers, which could dull the pastel finish over time.
If you are looking for something specific, like a custom-colored figurine to match your home decor, feel free to reach out. I am happy to take on requests when my kiln schedule allows for it.
