Here I am, holding one of my finished angel figurines. There's something so calming about the process of creating them, and I hope they bring that same sense of peace to you.

Symptoms of overworking. I was halfway through assembling these ballerina angel chimes when I realized their limbs were missing. A funny moment in the life of a busy potter.

About Angels, Gnomes & Guardians
Because I sculpt these by hand using pinching and slab techniques, no two guardians are exactly alike. You might notice tiny variations in the wings or the textures of their robes, which is how you know they were made by human hands rather than a factory. Handle them gently, as high-fired stoneware is beautiful but can be fragile if bumped against a hard surface.
I have always felt that angels and gnomes are more than just shelf decor. They are symbols of quiet protection and grace, designed to sit on your desk or mantel as a reminder to take a breath. Every piece in this collection starts as a raw lump of clay. I use hand-pinching and slab-building methods to form the base, then meticulously carve details like wings or hats before they head into the kiln.
Because I do not use molds, you get that organic, wobbly charm that I love so much. Some of my angels feature hand-painted florals, while others have textured robes that look lovely under warm lighting. I use high-fired stoneware, which makes them quite durable for indoor display, though I always recommend placing them away from edges where a sudden nudge could send them tumbling.
If you are buying these as a gift, know that I pack them with extra care in my Kalyan studio to ensure they reach you safely. Whether you are looking for a guardian for your own home or a whimsical gift for someone special, these pieces are made to hold their own little bit of magic.
Curiocity by Lidwin
I started this studio as a way to keep my mother’s memory and her love for little figurines alive. When I sit down to shape these angels and gnomes, it feels like I am sculpting a little piece of peace for your home. Everything here is made by my hands, in my studio, just for you.
