This is where I share my daily riyaaz, the traditional raags I practice, and the classical recordings I hold closest to my heart.

A snippet of Raag Vachaspati from a sitar duet performance with my elder brother Chirag Katti and Amit Kavthekar on tabla. This is a great example of a traditional Hindustani classical recording.

A moment of musical connection with my brother during our sitar duet recording. Performing classical music together is a special experience that I cherish.

Recording a sitar recital for All India Radio, accompanied by my dear friend Swapnil Bhise on tabla. This was a proud moment, as it was my first recording after being awarded the 'A' grade by AIR.

My morning riyaaz, exploring the depths of Raag Miya ki Todi. This daily practice is essential for my discipline and keeps my connection to the core of Indian classical music strong.

Diving into one of my favorite afternoon raags, Raag Bhimpalas. These informal sessions are where I often find new inspiration and refine my technique.

Playing a composition in Raag Bhatiyar, a beautiful morning raag. This performance captures the serene and devotional mood that is characteristic of traditional sitar recitals.

A wide shot of our trio during the recording of our Sitar duet album. The setup shows the professional microphones and arrangement we use to capture the authentic sound of a live classical performance.

About Hindustani Classical & Riyaaz

Recording classical music requires a different approach than standard studio work—it demands immense patience to preserve the raw, organic resonance of the sitar. Whether we are tracking a morning raag like Miya ki Todi or layering a complex duet, I focus on capturing the 'Jwari' (buzz) and the natural vibrations without losing the soul of the instrument. My 'A' grade status from All India Radio reflects the discipline I bring to every session, ensuring the sound remains clean, authentic, and true to the raag's structure.
