We believe mental health support extends beyond the clinic. Our community programs are designed to create safe, sensory-friendly spaces where every child can connect, celebrate, and belong, just as they are.

We create safe spaces for young people to talk openly about mental health. Here, we are in dialogue with college students about stress, support, and belonging, working to build communities that nurture growth and resilience.

Through our "Communities That Care" program, we collaborate with organizations to support the mental health of young adults. Here, our expert Ankita Khanna presents notes on youth mental health at IIT Gandhi Nagar.

As part of a summer workshop series with Tara India, our team facilitated group sessions with adolescent boys. Using art, play, and storytelling, we created spaces for emotional expression, peer support, and collective healing.

We facilitated "Tree of Life" workshops with adolescent girls at Salaam Baalak Trust. Through storytelling, art, and community sharing, the girls explored their strength, identity, and resilience, nurturing the power of being seen and heard.

What brings us together? Whether with children or caregivers, our goal is to build safe, nurturing spaces where stories are shared, emotions are honored, and healing begins. This image captures a moment of creative expression in one of our community workshops.

This video captures the joy of our sensory-friendly movie screening, part of our Autism Acceptance Month celebrations. We adjusted the environment to be comfortable and inclusive, allowing every child to have fun and just be themselves.

In partnership with PVR, we organized a sensory-friendly movie screening as part of Autism Acceptance Month. This collage shows our team and the children enjoying a day at the movies in a supportive and accommodating environment.

To ensure a child's comfort during our sensory-friendly movie screening, we encourage bringing familiar items, talking them through the experience, and supporting them if they need a break. It's all about creating a positive and safe experience.

Our Diwali Melas are sensory-safe celebrations. We replace crackers and chaos with food stalls, games, and skits. We even use coupons to help children learn about transactions, with therapists on hand for support.

Holi at Children First means no harsh chemicals, just natural powders. We make rangolis, play with flowers, and tie-dye shirts, creating a celebration that is joyful, safe, and sensory-friendly for every child.

About Community Outreach & Inclusive Events

We rethink traditional events to make them truly accessible for neurodivergent children. Whether it is a movie screening, a Diwali Mela, or a festival celebration, we actively manage the environment—lowering music volumes, using natural colors, and providing designated quiet zones—so children with sensory sensitivities can enjoy the experience without the usual overwhelm.

Building Communities of Care

For us, inclusion isn't a checklist; it is a fundamental shift in how we approach social environments. We recognize that conventional festivals and outings can be overwhelming for children with autism or sensory processing differences. Our outreach team works to remove those barriers, creating 'sensory-safe' spaces where the environment adapts to the child, not the other way around.

Our Approach to Inclusive Events

We collaborate with partners like PVR and local schools to host events that prioritize comfort and connection.

  • Sensory-Friendly Screenings: We adjust lighting, sound levels, and seating to accommodate children who might otherwise find cinemas challenging.
  • Inclusive Festivals: From Holi to Diwali, we replace loud, chaotic elements with structured activities. We use natural materials like flowers and powders for Holi, and focus on playful learning during festivals, often using coupons or visual aids to help children navigate social interactions comfortably.
  • School & NGO Collaborations: We extend our expertise to organizations like the Salaam Baalak Trust and Tara India. Through art, storytelling, and group workshops, we help children and adolescents explore identity, resilience, and emotional expression in a group setting.

Why This Matters

Therapy provides the tools, but community events provide the practice ground. By bringing children into real-world spaces, we help them build social confidence in a non-clinical setting. If you are a school, NGO, or corporate body interested in hosting a neurodiversity-affirming event, or if you are a parent looking for upcoming community programs, get in touch with us. We are always looking to expand our community of care.

We are a multi-disciplinary team of therapists, psychologists, and psychiatrists who believe that therapy is only half the work; the rest happens in the world around us. We don't just run clinics in Delhi and Gurugram; we build communities of care that bridge the gap between specialized support and everyday joy.
