Early Intervention and Developmental Support for Young Children
Our Early Intervention Centre provides intensive, play-based support for children under 6. We help your child develop social, communication, and sensory skills in a nurturing, expert-led environment.
Early support can make a lifetime of difference. Our Early Intervention Centre offers a structured, play-based program where children under 6 can develop social, communication, and sensory regulation skills with the guidance of our expert therapists.
Does your child need support with communication, social interaction, or sensory needs? Our Early Intervention Centre (EIC) provides intensive, multi-disciplinary support for children under 6, addressing sensory needs, social communication challenges, and early signs of Autism.
In our Early Intervention program, your child receives a holistic blend of care. This includes Occupational Therapy for sensory needs, Language Therapy for communication skills, and facilitated group work for peer interaction, all guided by individualized goals and regular parent collaboration.
Every child is unique, but early support is crucial when developmental concerns arise. We look for signs like difficulty connecting with peers, repetitive behaviours, or sensory challenges to provide timely and effective developmental services that help each child thrive.
The "Blooming" module of our Bridges to School Program is for pre-teens aged 8 and up. It focuses on building self-identity, flexible thinking, empathy, and collaboration, helping children find their place within the larger community through hands-on experiences.
About Early Intervention for Young Children (Ages 3-6)
We do not believe in 'fixing' a child. Our 3-day and 5-day Early Intervention programs are structured around 2-hour daily sessions that focus on real-world milestones, like sitting tolerance for school, turn-taking, and following group instructions, rather than just abstract therapy goals.
Our Approach to Early Development
At Children First, we recognize that early support acts as a foundation for a lifetime of confidence. Our approach is not clinical or cold. We use play-based therapy to help children navigate developmental delays or neurodivergent needs. Whether your child is working on sensory regulation in our specialized gym or learning social interaction in our group settings, every activity is designed to meet them exactly where they are.
Why Our Program Works
Children under 6 are at a critical stage of growth. We focus on:
- Social & Communication Skills: Using guided play to bridge the gap between internal thought and external expression.
- Sensory Regulation: Helping children understand and manage their responses to the world around them through Occupational Therapy.
- School Readiness: Preparing children for classroom environments by building patience, turn-taking abilities, and the capacity to follow group instructions.
We keep our cohort sizes small, typically 5-6 children, ensuring that every child gets the attention they need. Our high staff-to-child ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 allows our team of psychologists and therapists to monitor progress closely and adapt strategies in real-time.
Regular Collaboration with Parents
We view therapy as a partnership. Our model includes regular parent connects where we discuss home strategies, ensuring that the skills your child learns in our Safdarjung or Gurugram centers translate into daily life. From formulating a care plan to implementing specific exercises, we are with you through every step of the process. If you are noticing signs like difficulty with sensory input, repetitive behaviors, or challenges in connecting with peers, we encourage you to start an early conversation with our team.
Children First
We have spent over 15 years building spaces where children do not just 'fit in' but truly belong. Our team of 60+ therapists and psychologists believes that early support should be joyful and affirming, not clinical or restrictive.
