What Makes Our Bags Different
At Chiaroscuro, I make sure every bag has a story. Each piece is made start to finish by one artisan - so when you get a bag, it’s truly artisan crafted leather goods. You’ll sometimes hear us say, 'Bahut bika hai, khatam hone wala hai ye toh' (It sold a lot, it’s about to finish) because our leathers are often limited edition. If you want something that stands out, you’re in the right place.
Customization? Always!
I love when you bring new ideas. Custom leather bag design is kind of our thing. Want a longer strap, an extra pocket, or a zip instead of a magnet? Just ask. We’ve done tons of quirky customizations before - customer ne kaafi saara (customers have done a lot), so don’t hesitate.

My Story
Smriti here – so, Chiaroscuro is basically a tiny studio tucked in Delhi, where leather scraps become something special. It's not all shiny and showroom-y, just a few of us, hands deep in leather, stitching away. Sometimes we score wild leftover leather, sometimes it's soft, sometimes not so much. Each bag’s got a bit of India in it – Kashida, Sanganeri, even Gond art. What I love most? Watching our single artisan leather bags travel from Mumbai to Egypt, each one with its own story.
