About this collection
Running a shelter for over 400 animals means our overheads never pause, and these events are how we keep the lights on and the food bowls full. Whether you are dropping off items for a garage sale or grabbing a pass for an art workshop, 100% of the proceeds goes directly to our rescue and medical costs. If you are planning to donate items, please ensure they are in good, usable condition so we don't spend limited volunteer hours sorting through unusable trash.
How Our Fundraising Works
We believe in creating a community, not just asking for donations. Our fundraising events are designed to be interactive, fun, and meaningful. They allow you to get involved with our mission in Yelahanka while making a tangible difference for our rescued Indies.
Charlie's Garage Sale
This is one of our biggest annual initiatives. We rely on the community to declutter their homes and donate gently used items—clothes, books, electronics, furniture, and knick-knacks.
- How to help: Start collecting your pre-loved items early. We have specific drop-off guidelines, and we ask that you only send items that are clean, stain-free, and in working order.
- Why it helps: The funds raised here cover bulk procurement of medical supplies and food for our trauma units.
Intuitive Art Workshops
We collaborate with local artists to host 'Art that Heals' sessions. These are ticketed events held at partner venues across Bangalore, such as microbreweries or community spaces. You get to explore your creativity, learn a new skill, and take home your art, all while directly funding our shelter operations.
Why Your Participation Matters
We often have to say 'no' to rescues because we are full or simply lack the funds to treat another critical case. Every ticket purchased or item donated at our garage sale acts as a direct subsidy for a life-saving surgery or a month of vaccinations. If you want to host your own mini-drive for us, or if your office wants to sponsor an event, send us a message. We are always looking for partners who want to help us rewrite the story for our animals.
Charlie's Animal Rescue Centre
We are CARE, a shelter for animals that others often turn away. We operate in Yelahanka and rely entirely on our Bangalore community to keep our 400+ rescues fed, healthy, and happy. When you join our events, you become part of the family that makes our work possible.
