About Crepe & Mysore Silk Creations
When working with delicate fabrics like crepe or the rich sheen of Mysore silk, my priority is the fall. I focus on princess cut drafting and reinforced necklines so your blouse sits flat without bubbling, even when we incorporate heavy embroidery or patchwork.
Crepe and Mysore silk are beautiful, but they can be tricky to stitch. Because these fabrics are fluid and prone to slipping, I use specialized cotton lining and canvas reinforcement to give the garment structure while keeping it soft against your skin.
My approach to these fabrics is all about balance. If you have a classic Mysore silk, I recommend simple, elegant necklines that highlight the fabric's natural sheen. For crepe, which acts like a canvas, we can afford to be more playful. I often suggest mixing in contrasting textures like velvet, net, or brocade patches to add depth to your look.
I also specialize in breathing new life into older sarees. If you have a vintage Mysore silk or crepe saree sitting in your wardrobe, we can discuss reconstructing it into a modern half-saree or a new lehenga set.
Whether you need a simple blouse for work or something heavily embroidered for a wedding reception in Bengaluru, we start by analyzing your saree's drape and your personal comfort. My studio in Nelamangala is where I draft every pattern myself, ensuring the fit is precise enough that you won't need to adjust your blouse all day.
