About this collection

We always look at your fabric first. If you have a delicate crepe silk, we will not suggest heavy zardozi that might pull the thread. It is about understanding the weave and finding that perfect balance where the embroidery enhances the saree border without overpowering it.

Every blouse tells a story. When you come to our Nagarbhavi studio, we do not just take measurements. We talk about the occasion, the weight of the saree, and what makes you feel comfortable.

Our Design Process

  • Fabric Analysis: Before we sketch, we identify your fabric. A heavy Kanjivaram handles thick zardosi work beautifully, while lighter Mysore silks or crepes often require more delicate aari work or thread embroidery to maintain the drape.
  • Custom Sketches: We sketch designs that balance your vision with practical wearability. Whether you want a traditional keyhole back, a heart-shaped cutout, or a modern scalloped neckline, we ensure the structural integrity of the blouse matches the complexity of the work.
  • Handcrafted Details: We use 35+ traditional embroidery techniques, including Maggam work, beadwork, and cutdana. For silk saree blouses, we often integrate the original zari border of the saree into the sleeve design for a seamless, regal look.

Why Handwork Matters

Machine work is fast, but handwork is soul. When we do aari work on your blouse, we are mindful of the tension, ensuring the fabric does not pucker. We prioritize timely delivery for wedding orders, as we know how important it is to have your outfit ready before the muhurtham or reception. If you have a specific vision or even a wild idea, bring it to us. We will sit, sketch, and create something unique that feels like it was made just for you.
