Music, Movement & Crafts Classes for Kids
It is not just about the script. We bring in music, movement, and crafts to help kids build rhythm, body awareness, and creative thinking. Everything we do here is about letting your child express themselves freely and have fun doing it. 🧿

It's summer camp time at Chalo Theatre Studio! Here's a snippet of our music class, where students practice vocal scales with the harmonium.
About Beyond Acting: Music, Movement & Crafts
You might wonder why an acting studio is teaching Bollywood dance or yarn craft. It is simple: a good actor needs to be comfortable in their own body and creative with their hands. When your child learns to hold a rhythm on the harmonium or creates a bird out of yarn, they are learning focus and coordination. These are the building blocks that make them stand taller when they eventually walk onto the stage.
Beyond the Script
At Chalo Theatre Studio, we believe theatre is a complete package. If a child only learns to recite lines, they miss out on the magic. That is why our sessions integrate movement, music, and art.
The Role of Movement and Music
We introduce basics of Bollywood dance and Kathak to get feet moving and help kids understand the beat. During music sessions, we use the harmonium to teach vocal scales and breath control. This is not about becoming a singer or a dancer; it is about finding a voice and learning to command a stage. When a child learns to connect their breath to their words, their acting improves instantly.
Why Crafts Matter
Our hands-on art and craft sessions—like the yarn birds you see in our gallery—are about more than just making something pretty. They build fine motor skills and patience. For a young actor, the ability to focus on a small task translates directly into the ability to focus on a complex character study later on.
A Safe Space to Explore
Everything is done in our friendly studios in Sector 46 and Nirvana Country, Gurugram. Whether your child is 5 or 12, they get a space to experiment without the pressure of being perfect. We encourage them to mess up, try again, and express exactly who they are. It is all about masti (fun) and growth, ensuring they leave class more confident than when they walked in. 🧿
Chalo Theatre Studio
We are Chalo Theatre Studio, and for us, theatre is family. We are NSD alumni who believe the real magic happens when kids bond, laugh, and grow together. We want to spread smiles and confidence, whether in class or on stage. 🧿
