Start Your Spin Journey at Chakra
New to spin? We have got you. Whether you are a total beginner or getting back into movement, our studio is a no-judgment zone where you can ride at your own pace.
New to spin? We're introducing our 30-minute classic sessions. It's a short ride with a big impact. No pressure, just movement.
The Do's: Arrive early, chat with your instructor, check your bike settings, and silence your phone. Let's focus on you.
The Nice-to-Do's: Cheer for your peers, fall in love with the process, and always stay for the stretch. Your body deserves it.
Studio Etiquette 101. Whether it's your first ride or your hundredth, here's a quick guide on how to have the best spin class ever.
What you'll need in class: a water bottle, comfy socks, and good vibes. We'll provide the spin shoes and the towels.
Think you're not fit enough for Chakra? Think again. We believe every pace has its place. All we want you to do is try it and enjoy the ride.
Our rides might look intense, but they are only as intense as you want them to be. You decide if you want to push your limits or just groove.
Is spinning bad for your back? Not if you do it right. It's a low-impact workout that strengthens your core and can actually protect your back.
We're introducing Zone 2 rides. These are low-intensity, beginner-friendly classes perfect for first-timers or as active recovery for lifters and runners.
New ride alert. Our Zone 2 low-intensity rides are here. They are perfect for beginners to master the basics and for regulars to focus on resistance.
About Your First Ride: Beginner's Guide
The bike might look intimidating, but it is just a tool. We provide the shoes, the towels, and the vibe. Your only job is to show up, clip in, and listen to the music. If you feel lost, remember that everyone in that room started exactly where you are right now. Just breathe, find your rhythm, and let the beat guide you.
What to Expect on Your First Ride
Spinning is not about being a pro athlete on day one. It is about movement, music, and finding a little bit of calm in the chaos. If you are nervous, you are not alone. Many of our regulars started exactly where you are, feeling unsure about the resistance or the choreography.
Why Try a Zone 2 Ride
If you want to start slow, look for our Zone 2 rides on the schedule. These are low-intensity sessions designed specifically for beginners or for those who want a recovery day. You can maintain a steady, comfortable pace without feeling like you need to sprint. It is the perfect way to learn bike setup, practice your form, and get comfortable with the music and lighting before leveling up to our 45-minute classics.
Studio Etiquette: How to Keep it Smooth
- Arrive Early: Please be at the studio 15 minutes before class. It gives us time to help you adjust your bike settings so you ride safely.
- Gear Up: We provide clean, sanitized cycling shoes and sweat towels. Just bring your own water bottle and comfortable socks.
- Silence the Tech: Leave your phone in a locker so you can fully disconnect for those 45 minutes.
- Ask for Help: Never hesitate to ask your instructor to check your form. We want you to feel confident, not confused.
At the end of the day, it is just a bike. You decide how hard to push. If you need to dial back the resistance, do it. If you want to dance, do it. We are just happy you showed up.
