The Reality of Event Planning

I built Celebrides from scratch over 11 years. Here is the behind-the-scenes truth of what it takes to run events in Bengaluru and why I believe in doing the work myself.

People ask me the secret to my success. It's simple: hard work. In this video, I talk about my passion and the confidence that has driven me to build my business against all odds.

I discuss the difference between luck and hard work. Consistent success in business doesn't come from luck; it comes from dedication, passion, and ignoring the naysayers.

I share my story of starting my business as a woman in a male-dominated field. I am proud to have built a successful company and love working in my dream destinations.

Standing in one of the biggest convention centers on Mysore Road, a venue I've always dreamed of working in. This is a reminder that if you dream big and work hard, you can achieve your goals.

Me, next to a grand wedding mandap we built. I believe success comes from what you do consistently, not just occasionally.

A moment of pride in front of a beautiful wedding stage. My advice is to do something today that your future self will thank you for.

My goal has always been to work until I no longer have to introduce myself. This picture was taken at an engagement we planned, a proud moment for me and my team.

About this collection

People often ask how I manage events while handling everything from client calls to on-site execution. I do not work from an office desk, I am there at every venue, managing the setup, the vendors, and the last-minute adjustments. This hands-on approach is the only way I know how to ensure your vision comes to life exactly how we planned it.

When I started Celebrides in 2015, I heard the same thing repeatedly: 'Event management is a man's job.' It was a tough beginning. I faced skepticism from people around me, but I chose to let my work speak louder than their doubts. Consistency is the secret sauce. If you want to run a successful event management business in a city like Bengaluru, you cannot work in bursts. You show up every day, you plan every detail, and you keep going when things get difficult.

My journey has been defined by that persistence. From my first small birthday parties to managing grand, multi-day weddings at convention centers on Mysore Road, I have approached every project with the same mindset: treat it like my own. Whether it is a traditional Seemantham, an engagement ceremony, or a themed birthday party, I do not just plan the decor. I handle the logistics, the vendor synchronization, and the stress-proofing so that you can actually enjoy the function.

This is also why I started my own training institute. I realized there were many aspiring planners who just needed someone to show them the real side of the industry. I teach my students the same things I practice daily—how to handle balloon art, floral design, and most importantly, how to build the confidence to plan an event solo. I am not just a vendor you hire; I am a partner who has navigated the highs and lows of this industry to ensure your big day is done right. Let's talk about your event.

I am Pooja. For the last 11 years, I have poured my heart into building Celebrides. Whether I am teaching my students how to handle a project solo or managing a grand wedding on-site, I believe in showing up, no matter the challenge.
