Exhibition and Spatial Design
We create transient landscapes that ground fine art and jewelry in raw, elemental materials, turning the environment itself into a quiet narrative.
The exhibition landscape we designed for Studio Renn's fine jewelry collection. We used bales of raw kala cotton to create pedestals and partitions, creating a soft, primal environment that contrasts with the precious, formed jewelry.
A view of the 'FOUND | FORMED' exhibition space we designed. The raw cotton bales act as display surfaces for the intricate jewelry, creating a unique material dialogue between the found and the formed, the raw and the refined.
A close-up of the jewelry display on the raw cotton bales. The soft, organic texture of the cotton provides a beautiful backdrop for the metallic forms of the jewelry, highlighting their precision and craft.

About Exhibition & Curation
Designing for an exhibition is not just about placing objects; it is about the dialogue between the item and the space. When we designed for Studio Renn, we chose to use bales of raw kala cotton. This provided a soft, tactile foundation that allowed the sharp, metallic forms of the jewelry to truly stand out, demonstrating that the environment of a display is as significant as the items being showcased.
Our approach to exhibition design focuses on transience. We view these projects as temporary interventions—moments in time where we can experiment with materials we might not use in permanent architecture.
The Material Dialogue
We often look for unconventional elements to ground our designs. By using raw cotton or bamboo in a high-end jewelry setting, we create a contrast between the primal and the precious. This choice of material is intentional; it anchors the jewelry, making the entire display feel grounded rather than detached.
From Concept to Execution
Every exhibition we design follows a rigorous process. It starts with understanding the narrative the client wants to convey. We then test these ideas at full scale, building models on site to see how light hits the materials and how visitors move through the space. Our team collaborates closely with craftspeople to ensure that every fixture and display surface is made with precision.
Why Transience Matters
Because these structures are temporary, we have the freedom to be bold with our material choices. We prioritize sustainability by choosing elements that can be repurposed or returned to their original use after the event. This practice of material awareness ensures that our designs are not just visually striking, but also responsible. Whether we are transforming an art fair booth or a dedicated gallery, our goal remains the same: to create a stage where the work can breathe.
Case Design
We are Case Design, a Mumbai-based studio that treats every space like a new story. We treat object placement as architecture at a different scale and enjoy the challenge of building temporary, evocative environments that shift how people perceive objects.
