Industry Commentary and Media Interviews
I believe in keeping it real about the art world. Here, I share unfiltered takes on the media industry, the ethical grey areas of AI, and stories from my 30-year journey as a cartoonist.
In this video, I talk about the dangers of sharing your photos with AI image generators. I explain how your data can be used without your permission. It is important to be careful, as I say, "Saavdhani hati, durghatna ghati".
This is a poster for my interview on "The RDD Show". I was invited as a special guest to talk about my creative journey as a cartoonist and caricature artist, sharing insights and stories from my career.
About Industry Commentary & Interviews
Before you jump on the latest AI photo trend, pause. In my commentary videos, I show why handing your face data to unverified generators is risky business. Art is meant to be created, not computed. If you want a caricature, get it from a human who understands your personality, not an algorithm that just mimics pixels.
Speaking the Truth
I have spent three decades in the media industry, from the newsrooms of Hindustan Times to major animation studios. When I speak about the industry, I don't give you PR-friendly answers. I talk about what really happens behind the scenes.
My media appearances and personal content focus on three things:
- The Reality of AI: We need to be careful. As I often say, saavdhani hati, durghatna ghati (if you lose caution, you invite trouble). I break down how AI image generators actually use your data and why you should value human art over automated shortcuts.
- The Artist's Journey: It is not always glamorous. It involves hard work, late nights, and constantly evolving your craft. In my interviews, I share the actual struggles of making it as a professional cartoonist in India today.
- Mentorship for the Next Gen: I am not just here to showcase my work. I am here to guide students in Mass Comm and Fine Arts. If you are a college festival organizer or a media house looking for an honest take on where our industry is heading, let us talk.
Why Invite Me?
I don't believe in giving lectures that bore students. My sessions are interactive. I speak straight, I answer the hard questions, and I keep the environment engaging. Whether it is a panel discussion on media ethics or a guest lecture for design students, I bring the weight of my experience and the fire of someone who deeply cares about the future of Indian art.
