My Journey as a Caricature Artist

When I sit down with my markers or my iPad, my goal is not just to finish a sketch in three minutes. It is to capture the specific spark that makes a person laugh at themselves. Whether I am at a corporate event in Delhi or a wedding in Jodhpur, I look for those little quirks that define someone, turning them into a souvenir that is actually worth keeping. The paper comes in a protective sleeve so it stays safe, but the memory of that moment is what I really want your guests to carry home.

My journey started over two decades ago, driven by a simple belief: laughter is a form of service. My work, which I fondly call 'Comedy on Paper,' is less about the technical perfection of a portrait and more about the human connection. When I am at a live event, I am not just a spectator drawing from a distance. I am an active part of the celebration.

I offer two main ways to bring this energy to your event:

1. Classic Paper Caricatures: Using high-quality cartridge paper and bold markers, I can sketch 40 to 50 guests in a three-hour session. These are perfect for weddings and mehndi nights where guests want a physical memento to take home immediately.

2. Digital Caricatures: For a more modern, tech-forward touch, I use my iPad Pro. I can connect this to a screen at your venue, allowing your guests to watch the process live as I draw. These files are delivered instantly via AirDrop or email, making them ready to share on social media.

Regardless of the medium, the process remains the same. I arrive 30 minutes early to set up my easel, portable lights, and equipment. I ensure that by the time your first guest arrives, I am ready to go. I don't believe in rigid poses. I prefer to sketch guests as they are—goofy, shy, or energetic—because that is where the real charm lies.
