From traditional Kelvan and Annaprashan ceremonies to Shiv Jayanti celebrations, I capture the essence of our culture in every bake. Let's make your special day sweeter with a story you can taste.

Here’s a look at how I assembled the special 'Kelvan' cake. I use high-quality edible prints to feature the couple and traditional motifs, making it a truly personalized centerpiece for the pre-wedding function.

'Aamcha Tharlay' means 'It's decided!'. This two-tier cake is perfect for a Roka or engagement announcement, decorated with a cute couple topper in traditional attire to celebrate the happy news.

Another beautiful 'Rokafield' cake to celebrate a couple's commitment. This two-tier design in red and white features intricate piping work and a traditional couple figurine, perfect for the 'Baat Pakki' ceremony.

A cake I designed to celebrate Ashadhi Ekadashi, honoring the Pandharpur Wari tradition. It features edible images of Vithumauli and the Warkaris on their pilgrimage, bringing a feeling of devotion to the celebration.

This cake was made for a 64th birthday celebration for an 'Aai'. It's topped with a handcrafted fondant figure in a saree, surrounded by her favorite things like jewelry and bags, telling her unique story.

A cake for a saree-loving Aaji (grandmother). I created miniature, edible fondant versions of her favorite sarees, including Paithani, Bandhni, and Kanjivaram, to celebrate her special day.

Celebrating Gudi Padwa and the Marathi new year with a special themed cake. It features an edible Gudi, along with other traditional elements, making it a sweet way to welcome the new year.

A cake tribute for Shiv Jayanti, celebrating the birth of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This design features an edible print of Maharaj and his fort, along with the powerful Marathi quote.

A square cake design for a half-birthday, also celebrating our Maratha heritage. It features a young Shivaji Maharaj and his fort, perfect for introducing little ones to our great history.

This grand three-tier cake was for a 75th birthday, celebrating a man's journey as a 'Baba' (father) and 'Aajoba' (grandfather). The silhouettes on each tier depict different stages of his life with his family.

About Maharashtrian Moments

When I create these cultural designs, I focus heavily on the placement of traditional motifs and edible prints. For a Kelvan or Gudi Padwa cake, the challenge is not just the flavor, but ensuring the scale and placement of the toppers, like the Gudi or specific Marathi quotes, do not compromise the stability of the cream base. I use specific support boards to keep everything upright so your centrepiece looks perfect from the first photo to the last slice.

Our festivals and family milestones are central to our lives, and I believe the cake should reflect that sentiment. Whether you are planning a traditional Kelvan for a bride-to-be or celebrating a milestone like Aai's 64th birthday, I design cakes that bring those cultural elements to life.

My approach mixes traditional symbolism with modern baking. For example, when I make a Shiv Jayanti cake, I ensure the edible print of the fort or the quote stands out clearly. For a saree-themed cake for Aaji, I hand-craft tiny fondant versions of Paithani or Kanjivaram patterns so it feels personal.
