My Henna Journey: Learn, Create, and Connect
Henna started as my favorite childhood game, and it is still the language I speak best today. Explore my journey from self-taught artist to instructor, and learn how to create your own beautiful designs.
A huge moment for me, learning from my own role model, Miral Patel. I believe in always being a student, and I bring that same passion and dedication to my own classes, ensuring every student gets the attention they need to grow.
In this video, I talk about my personal connection to henna and the importance of creating art for yourself. It's also a real-life lesson in aftercare, showing how I retraced a fading design to give it new life.
About My Henna Journey
I spent years just churning out lines, slowly losing the joy of creating. I had to hit pause and start doing 'self-indulgent' art—designing just for me—to get that spark back. That is exactly how I teach now: not just the technical, stiff stuff, but the real hacks for getting a deep, rich stain and the freedom to actually enjoy the process.
It took me a while to realize that henna was not just about the finished product, but about the process. As a self-taught artist, my early years were filled with trial and error, plenty of funny fails, and a mountain of messy practice sheets. I learned the hard way that pretty designs on Instagram often lack the foundational discipline needed for real-world application.
Today, my classes in Navi Mumbai and Chennai are built on that exact foundation. We do not skip the basics. Whether you are signing up for my Beginner Fundamentals or the Advanced Bridal Masterclass, expect hands-on training that covers everything from proper cone grip to the science of organic paste mixology. I am particularly vocal about henna aftercare because I know the heartbreak of a design that fades too quickly—I have been there, and I will make sure you do not make the same mistakes.
If you are looking to specialize, my Realistic Henna Portrait course is where I get to combine my love for sketching with mehendi art. We focus on light, shadow, and proportions to create something truly custom. My goal is to get you beyond the basics, giving you the skills to handle any request, from intricate bridal grids to detailed portraits.
