Featured Henna Artistry and Workshop Highlights
A snapshot of the techniques I love to teach, from realistic celebrity portraits to intricate bridal layouts. This collection showcases the diverse range of styles we cover in my henna workshops.
This is a great example of what we cover in my advanced workshops. I'll guide you through the entire process, from transferring the initial sketch to layering details for a realistic portrait, like this one of Aishwarya Rai from Ponniyin Selvan. We finish by framing the portrait with beautiful bridal henna elements.
The big reveal is always the best part. In my portrait henna course, I teach you how to capture expressions and likenesses, so you can create your own amazing celebrity portraits like this one of the iconic Madhuri Dixit.
I love teaching how to create bold, realistic floral designs. This video shows the process of building a peony, focusing on line work and shading to give the flower depth and dimension, a key skill for any aspiring bridal henna artist.
Watching the negative space get filled in is so satisfying. This is a core technique I teach for creating contrast and making your bridal henna designs pop. You'll learn how to apply the paste smoothly for a clean, professional finish.
Even simple designs can be beautiful. This is the kind of elegant, clean pattern you'll learn to create in my beginner mehendi class. We start with the basics, so you can build confidence and find your own flow.
A huge moment for me, learning from my own role model, Miral Patel. I believe in always being a student, and I bring that same passion and dedication to my own classes, ensuring every student gets the attention they need to grow.
Here's a little demo from one of my portrait workshops, featuring Shahid Kapoor. My classes are hands-on, and I provide all the materials you need to practice and master the art of henna portraiture.
About Featured
My approach is simple, I teach you what I actually use, not just the stuff that looks good on social media. Whether we are mapping a realistic portrait or building complex bridal grids, we focus on the mechanics of the cone and the chemistry of the paste so you walk away with real, usable skills.
I started this journey with a lot of messy practice and a simple desire to share the magic I learned from my mom. Over the years, I realized that many artists get stuck because they are taught the 'pretty' version of henna without understanding the mechanics. My workshops are designed to change that by breaking down the complexity into manageable steps.
What we focus on
- Portrait Henna: This is a fan favorite for a reason. We cover how to transfer reference images, understand light sources for 3D shading, and detail facial features so the final result actually looks like the person in the photo.
- Bridal Fundamentals: From drawing straight, equidistant grids to mastering negative space techniques, we build the foundation for full-arm layouts that look professional and clean.
- The Chemistry of Stain: I am obsessed with getting that deep, dark stain. In every class, I share my personal mixology, including the right ratios for powder and oil, and the aftercare steps that make or break the color.
Teaching Style
I am self-taught, which means I have made all the mistakes you are currently afraid of. I keep things practical and hands-on, whether you are joining me for a session in Kharghar or Chennai. I prioritize technique over trends because, at the end of the day, building a solid foundation is the only way to find your own flow. My goal is for you to leave class with more than just a certificate; you should leave with the confidence to pick up a cone and create something that feels like yours.
